I think I have found something that means two of the same weapon on a battlesuit can be taken without having them twin linked, shadowsun has 2 fusion blasters as her only ranged weapons but she also has a target lock and a multi tracker, if we went by the general ruling then her weapons class as twin linked but then her target lock and multi tracker would be useless this would mean that although she has two of the same weapon they fire independently and the only wording in the codex as far as two of the same weapon goes states that the only difference is points cost (thefirst points cost is for a single weapon of that type and the second is for twin linked, it doesn’t say that if you chose two of the same they must be twin linked.

Has anyone else noticed this? It doesn’t state in the book that shadowsuns weapons are special in the fact that they can fire independently so I would take it as a universal battlesuit ability

You are reaching.

The rules fro Battle suits are clear.
The rules for Shadowsun are clear.

The two doesn't have to be in line.

But where does it state that two of the same must be taken as twin linked

In the rules for Battlesuits and their weapons, very very clearly.

And note that it's a rule for just those units, not a general rule. If nothing says that two identical weapons count as a twinlinked one they don't.

Sorry for asking such a stupid question, I was a bit sleep deprived this morning and was seeing something that wasn't there lol

I will ask a sensible question next time

No apology necessary! We all make mistakes.

Good attitude, though.
