It's not as if Inquisitorial Stormtroopers fit with the theme of the rest of the Inquisition armies to begin with.

Except where they were troops specifically raised and trained for the task of the Ordo...yeah.

Kinda like GKs and Ordo Malleus?

Yeah, actually. Read the 3e book, if you haven't already. It's explained quite well, why Inquisitorial Stormtroopers exist. The main reason; usually a small force (a squad or two) of Grey Knights, is sent to an incursion...and they need dedicated backup (the local Guard or random Astartes nearby, not being dependable enough)

I own both the Daemonhunters and Witchhunters codices, thank you kindly.

GKs are attached to the Ordo Malleus as the latter's militant arm, however Inquisitorial Stormtroopers are more or less the Inquisitor's own personal bodyguard. They defend the Inquisitor's fortresses and blackships, whereas the GKs are called in when Daemons are concerned.

Wasnt there an Inquisitor character that made ISTs troops in the new dex?

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Apparently being limited to 96 Stormtroopers in one standard FOC is some kind of backbreaking deal. It's laughable, but it's the contention.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Oh no, limited to only 96 of them.

Whatever will my 40 do?

I don't understand the tears, tbh. Then again, I have never veered off to one angle when putting the army together - besides, the stormtroopers are all borrowed from my IG army where they are carapace vets as well.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
