Weapons such as powerfist, eviserators, etc. Douples the users strength and Furious Charge gives you 1+ to there Strength.
so lets say a unit of Space Marines assaults a Tank and the Marines have Furious charge and a powerfist in the squad.
Since Furious charge adds 1+ to strength does it add to the persons stats or does it add to the doubled strength attack?\
To make it simpliler does the marine become strength 5 and with the powerfist doubles it make him strength 10?
Or does it just make him strength 5 but the powerfist doubled his normal stat to just make him strength 9?

Read a rulebook.
For future reference, this is not an acceptable answer to a rules query. If you're not interested in giving some sort of actual answer to the question, please refrain from posting. - insaniak

It's right there in the rulebook, as well as following the mathematical order of operations.

the +1s is added after the strength is multplied by the power fist/TH etc.. i think it has been FAQ'd but its also basic maths, you always multiply before adding (don't know how relevantg that is though)

Way to be helpful guys.
Riddick, the section you're looking for is on page 7 of the rulebook, 'Multiple Modifiers'.

Wow, people are grumpy today.
I know this question has been asked several hundred times before, but people new to Dakka (or even just new to YMDC) may not have seen it before. And, the rule in question is in a section of the rulebook that doesn't cause much confusion, so many players don't reference it often and aren't familiar with it.
insaniak is correct, page 7 of the BGB. You multiply before you add.

That's an old reference, for something completely different... If I remember correctly, it was the reference for the 'Magic Cylinder' LOS rules in 4th edition...

I don't believe there is anything in the PF rules which supersede the normal wound allocation rules. It's simply a (on a SM) str 8 attack which does not allow armour saves.

POwerfists follow the exact same wound allocation process as any other wound.

Maybe we could have a sticky in the YMDC about the Most Commonly Asked Questions.
I know a lot of folks probably don't pay attention to the stickies, but it could probably reduce the amount of FNP threads, Powerfist + Furious Charge threads, Drop Pod Mishap threads, etc.
Just a thought.

It's been discussed in the past, and that's exactly why we don't have one. People don't read stickies, and the sheer number of frequently asked question would mean that the thread would very quickly wind up the same size as the rulebook, which would discourage even those who do read stickies from wasting time searching through it rather than just asking the question.
There's really no problem with the same questions coming up periodically.

Agreed.
And, there is already a sticky at the top. It's labeled " INAT FAQ" right between "Store Finder" and your user name.

Right, I just thought it might be easier to have a one-page locked sticky that has all the Frequently Asked Questions in the thread. And that locked sticky could be updated, so it wouldn't grow large and it would be easy to quickly scan.
But you're right, a 111-page FAQ that needs to be downloaded first, hidden by a button with little direction (but a sticky that we've already determined people don't read!) is much better.

I think you underestimate just how many questions are 'frequently asked' around here.
And most of those are reasonably quick and painless to answer. So all the sticky would do would be to give you the choice of going and grabbing the link to the sticky and posting it into the thread... or just typing the answer and moving on, which in most cases would be quicker and easier.
It's not going to stop people from asking the questions. And there's not really any good reason for them to not ask the questions. If we're just going to sticky the things that people want to ask about, what's the point of even having a discussion forum? Might as well just turn it into a static page that says 'Read the Rulebook'...

"Read the rulebook" is good advice to people who are asking questions that are specifically addressed in the rulebook. I mean, I suppose we could rub the questionner's ignorance in their face by pointing out which page the specific answer is on, but there has to be an expectation that people have read the rulebook.

Pointing out which page of the rulebook has their answer is not 'rubbing the questionner's ignorance in their face'... it's pointing out where they can find their answer.
This is not negotiable. Simply posting 'Read the rulebook' without making any attempt to actually be helpful will be treated as spam.
