So we are deciding to skip fantasy for another month and probably wait till April. So what that means is the 19th will once again be 40K!

Sat the 19th, 10am start. $10 buy in or $20 purchase. 1850 points, 3 rounds.

We will score once again for Favorite player and Favorite army. Those points will add to the overall score for 1st place (General). 2nd and 3rd place will be scored by battle points only. The General cannot also win 2nd or 3rd.

How is this tournament scored exactly?

You mentioned favorite player and army but how do they factor in? How many points are they worth and how do you score them?

Is it battle points or W-L-D?

How does painting work?

What kind of missions do you run?

Book Missions or homegrown?

Due to rain this saturday I will probably be in attendance (please hold me a spot). @ Manimal I'm sure the OP will answer your questions but he does run a good tournament and the players are a great bunch of guys (and hard competition on top of that). I would recomend it.

Shep and I may come to this, but I certainly would like a little more info first.

How were the previous tournaments run? (other than being good) Mostly I am curious about missions and scoring.

@Manimal missions are standard book missions with secondaries like kill elites/hq,control table quarters, with VP as tie breakers , but is changes form mission to mission nothing to crazy . Painting I think is +3 for full painted +1 for semi +0 for not.

Azgrim pretty much covered it but here's some more info. Jon (Realmgames) might be able to provide an even more accurate analysis.

Scoring is done through battle points rather than strait W-L-D. There are different levels of wins and losses (massacre, major and tie). You can usually earn up to 3 bonus points per round. Max battle points per round is 20.

Missions are mostly book missions, nothing wacky. The first mission is usually 5 objectives, the second one is modified KP and the third is three objectives.

During the last tournament painting didn't get you extra bonus points, but I believe you could earn extra points by getting votes for favorite player and/or favorite army.

I'm not sure it'll be the same way this time, but that's how it's been the last few times. Hope to see you both there!

I think last time you had to split 5 points between the three people you played is how they picked favorite player and every one picks one army they think looks the best (dosn't matter if you played them) for favorite army.

Sorry guys I was out of town and didn't have internet access cept for my phone.

Everything posted was pretty much right on.

We run scenarios from the GT's and modify them, but use their scoring. bonus points awarded for any extra objectives achieved.

At the end of the tournament you have 5 points to award to you opponents based on how much you enjoyed your games against them.

For army, each player will pick their favorite army, this will award them 1 point for each vote they get. Players can pick their favorite based on painting, converting, or even composition.

For those that didn't make it, Charlie took 1st with Space Wolves, Levi 2nd with Orks, and Ben 3rd with Imperial Fists.

Pretty good mix of armies, 2 Orks, 2 Tau, 2 IG, 1 Dark Eldar, 1 Chaos, 1 Daeons, 1 Blood Angels, 1 Space Wolves, 1 Imperial Fists. No Necrons, Nids or Eldar.

Next month is the Fantasy Ard Boyz. Will start a new post for that for those interested. Thanks again, Jon.
