For those fans of the Raven Guard that hadn't seen it yet, thought they'd be interested in a glimpse of the new artwork of Corax:
Pretty awesome, imo!
The Black Library wrote:This incredible vista by Neil Roberts will feature on the cover of Deliverance Lost by Gav Thorpe which will be available next year. It focuses on the Raven Guard, with links to the storylines in the audio drama Raven’s Flight and the short story “The Face of Treachery” from Age of Darkness.

Not bad, he looks pretty mean
I think the only thing I could criticize are the wings, they seem a little diddy to me. I always imagined them to be kinda big.

Not a fan of it at all - the Jump Pack looks small, the wings are a bit meh...not how I imagined him after the descriptions in the HH so far...

I think it looks good.
Re the wings, bearing in mind that he's about 9 feet tall, that makes the wings pretty damn big. Any more might be a little over the top - he's not Sanguinius.

Go to the Black Library link from GW.com and there is a larger picture that would probably do well as a background.

Looks like he's carrying some sort of whip and a Powerfist/L.Claw.
Wonder how that whip woudl translate into rules for the game?

Et In Arcadia Ego
|
..yes...
.. it follows on from the audio drama about the RG that Gav Thorpe did and the ( rather good and surprising) short story in "Age of darkness" which links the two and "frontloads" the novel nicely.
This is of course on top of the other RG audio drama -- Helion Rain -- which is itself gaining a sequel as well.
Good times to be a RG player.
Wonder how that whip woudl translate into rules for the game?
when he uses it he's capable of cutting a terminator in half... so I would suggest Ap2 at least.

Badass "Sister Sin"
|
"After the betrayal at Isstvan, Horus begins his campaign against the Emperor, a galaxy-wide war that can lead only to Terra. But the road to the final confrontation between father and son is a long one – seven years filled with secrecy and silence, plans and foundations being formed across distant stars. An unknown history is about to be unveiled as light is shed on the darkest years of the Horus Heresy, and revelations will surface that will shake the Imperium to its very foundation... "

Pretty cool piece of art, but I would have liked to have seen more...intimidating wings. There's also the slightly awkward-looking bulk of his power armor, but I guess that's to be expected.
Also, maybe I'm missing something here, but aren't jump packs used to make a substantial leap into the air and fire retros(optionally >.& gt to slow descent? Looking at the picture, you'd think they were more like jetpacks.

Mainly I'm just awesome.
.. but this time I went to the Black Library Live event where they had lots of lovely pre releases. Picked up "Age of darkness" -- the next HH book -- "Blood Reaver" -- which is superb -- "Battle of the Fang" -- reading now and it's luverly -- "Caledor", "Fall of Damnos", "victories of the space marines", The Brett. omnibus and "Blood Forged".
Oh and the limited edition chapter book too.
I was fortunate enough to get "Legion of One" a month or so ago, so didn't need to get that then.

Ah, the "cuz I'm awesome" excuse the Illuminati have been using for centuries. I see.
