So I'm looking to set up a squad of honour guard.

I would like to equip them with several options from the crazy long list that states you may replace his boltgun, chainsword and/or bolt pistol with: ***insert upgrades here***

My question is: how many upgrades can you take?

I would like to give someone a meltagun, a stormshield, and a thunder hammer. Is that possible?

It seems that the model has a pistol, ranged weapon, and melee weapon in his wargear. How does this compare to swapping out for upgrades?

You can replace 0, 1, 2 or 3 of the weapons.

They only have 2 weapons.

So you can only take 2 weapon options.

I though marines only had Bolter and Bolt Pistol listed in there war gear. otherwise they woudl always get a bonus attack for havign 2 CCWS on them at all times.

No, they don't. They have a bolter or bolt pistol. One, not both.

The quote's wrong, and that's what Nos was looking at and referring to.

Yes, they have

- Boltgun or Bolt Pistol
- Chainsword

That means a maximum of two swaps.

Good to know the quote was wrong, didnt have codex hence was going off what was written.

Praxis - this was honour guard, not tactical marines, hence my query
