I tough...
If IoM fails one day and all that's left of Humanity is several solar systems with few Space marine Chapters and Sisters of Battle orders along with few civilians...can Space Marines help in reproduction, to simplify - have children?
I imagine it is little questionable, having all that genetic alterations and modifications. But, I think that Sisters can have baby's because they only wear Space Marine armor and don't have genetic surgeries.
So what do you think?

Space Marines are sterile, and even if they weren't I doubt they could impregnate a normal human. Too many changes to their DNA.

The process makes them sterile. Also Space marines are basically eunuchs.

I request a sticky answering the questions we get most often here; whether Space Marines are sterile, the origins of the Dark Eldar/Necrons/Chaos Gods, what powers are invested in an Inquisitor, where Tyranids came from, how psykers work, et cetera. More often than not, a quick search will yield the answer to a fact-check or yes/no question.

No they aren't...
You're lucky Melissia isn't here...
Pretty much the only thing they share with Marines is the armour, level of dedication and level of training.
They are different is every other aspect.
Fighting style, independence, numbers, enhancements and organisation to name a few.

Ciaphas Cain tells us Sisters are not required to be celibate. (and in /tg there was much rejoicing. )

And they are definitely NOT Space Marines w/ boobs. They are normal humans put in power armor to serve as the fighting arm of the Ecclesiarchy. They may train like Space Marines, but they have none of the genetic mofications that make Space Marines more than human. They also have significant structural differences, namely a Space Marine chapter is a fully self contained army that can do whatever it wants. A Sister of Battle convent is a unit that the Ecclesiarchy can move around as needed, and are nowhere near as independent as a Space Marine chapter.

I thought they are generally trained like a Marine, just without genetic alterations and with fanatic faith in the Emperor.

They are trained in a similar facility to a Commissar but they do training in old power armour and use bolters.

When I said that I meant that they are trained like Space Marines and use their equipment. And I know they have all the resources of the Ecclesiarchy and the Inquisition. They have even their own worlds where they train more sisters and pray top the Emperor (Shrine Worlds, Sanctuary 101). They are not independent, but they are never suspected of heresy and betrayal like Space Marines chapters.

They use a earlier form of armour adapted for use by normal people.
The bolter is a devastating weapon so that makes sense to use it.
Apart from that they have relatively little in common...
At any rate you OP question is no marines are sterile and probably don't have compatable genetics.

Most likely accident very few people understand the science behind it anymore.
I'm not sure how large the change in genotype is for an SM but it must be a fair amount.

I'd figure it done on purpose, but really I doubt it makes much sense and differs from chapter to chapter. I mean really, unless you plan on using clones, why would you just throw away the gene line that lead to having someone naturally qualified enough to be an Astarte? So what if there are endless hordes of Humanity - a good investment is a good investment, and having an active gene line that you already know can produce Astarte quality troops is worth its weight in Terminator armor.

They don't necessarily use Space Marine equipment fro the simple fact that they are standard humans, and not 8 foot tall genetically engineered monstrosities. They also lack the black carapace, and thus can not interact with Space Marine power armor.

Shrine Worlds are not Sisters worlds. They are Ecclesiarchy worlds dedicated to worship of the Emperor, the fact that they also train large amounts of Sisters there, is simply due to the presence of the Ecclesiarchy. The world belongs to the Ecclesiarchy, not the Sororitas.

When considering a semi-immortal supersoldier who is capable of more reliably passing on his genetic material via the progenoid gland, the ability to have sex doesn't seem all that important, and if anything the dangly bits are a vulnerability.

I know that, I am sorry. I meant that Shrine Worlds are under protection of Sororitas and they are, of course, the fighting arm of the Emperor's creed. It's there that they are trained and sent to battle. And they use Space Marine power armor, just different version. The one that is not design to fit 8 foot tall man, but with somewhat similar protection.

Power Armor can come in two varieties, each of which provides the same protection. Marine armor, which is larger, and a bit more manuverable thanks to the interface gained with the Black Carapace, and human armor which can and is worn by Sororitas, Inquisitors, etc.

As for a Space Marine's manbits, I'd say that it's an unfortunate byproduct. If they could stop doing it they would, but they can't so the Imperium makes do. Remember, the progenoids let them make more Space Marines...but first they have to find candidates with certain genetic markers that render them capable of becoming Marines.

Yes, that was my thought behind it, those things would make a marine Toughness 1, and would bypass feel no pain... Wonder why guard aren't this way, oh wait...

Well, actually, the "dangly bits" are essential to the good health of any normal man. They are for instance crucial in the development of the muscles. Not only during puberty, but also for the rest of a man's life. Thus, I guess SM still have their baby-makers, but these are rendered sterile by the genetic modifications the SM undergoes. I doubt they're eunuchs.
