I reecently started a Death Korps army and thought about Ogryns. Would it be possible for a death Korps Regiment to have Ogryns?

It's possible rules-wise not fluff-wise.

I actually never seen an Ogryn in Krieg army. It would be cool to see one, after all they are all about siege warfare, and you need those muscle man to break trough enemy trenches.

Your army doesn't need to be "Pure Krieg". Just say they have some ogryns attached. That's pretty normal.

Krieg was purged by nuclear war and they are now on a penitent crusade. Nuclear troll-mutants should be an arrow in any sci-fi writer's quiver; just come up with an appropriate origin story if you don't feel like treating them as an attached force. You could also employ heavy servitors in lieu of Ogryn models; I briefly used an augmented human with proportionally gorilla-like Terminator Power Claw arms as Nork Deddog.

I dont' know, fluffwise, if they can have them or not, but I've seen a few people do some pretty awesome conversions for them.

Yes, that is indeed a very nice conversion since I also wanted to build them from ogers.

From what I understand ogryns form a bond of fierce loyalty to their commander. Would a Krieg commander be able to form the interpersonal and emotional bonds that may be necessary for a ogryn to properly integrate into a unit?

No. But they could with an attached commissar.

I always thought these Ogryns look very Death Kroopy, despite that they are chaos
I'd imagine if you could cover up the symbols they'd look great for Krieg Ogryns
I was referring to the renegade FW ones.

There's a lot of Krieg regiments out there, so its not unlikely that one would end up having its forces supplemented by a group of Ogryns and their handlers indefinately during one conflict-be that due to a mistake in troop requisitions, the commander requesting additional troops and getting Ogryns instead, or requestion Ogryns and actually getting them...¬¬...a destroyed regiments being amalgamted into other regiments to build up numbers, requiring heavy lifters in a troop level role out there in the battlefield where power lifters aren't available...the list goes on. =P

I would imagine that if it came to that the Kreig commander would man up, go get the "His Holy Emperor's Imperial Guard Manual on the care and feeding of Ogryns" and do his duty, up to and including going long stints without the re-breather on and being friendly and loving to the big lugs.

I think it would be ok fluff wise. just give them gas masks.

It's not cloning...
At any rate it's perfectly plausible Ogryns are attached to regiments all the time and DkoK have no reason to hate them.

I think Kriegers have an extra amount of prejudice towards mutants ingrained in them beyond the normal amount Imperials are indoctrinated with (which is considerable) due to some problems they've had with radiation related mutations. However, what's a much more defining characteristic for Death Korps is following orders. If the commissars say they're following in the super-abhumans then they'll do it, no questions asked.

I think the Krieger's sense of redemption is stronger than their hate of mutants...
They may not even hate mutants and see the ones on their homeworld as some kind of penance for their rebellion.

It's the Emperor's decree that all mutants be destroyed so they would be all over that in their quest to be the best and most loyal planet in the Imperium.
I sometimes wonder if most Kriegers are disfigured and/or burned under those masks. That would explain why they never take them off.

Err, but that doesn't include abhumans...

depends on who you ask there are certan religues parts of the church that even think they shud kill all the navigators, since they are mutants.
