Check ebay, there are a number of "rare" minis available which represent different guard factions dead or dying. Tallarn, mordian and the praetorian guard if I'm not mistaken.

Whether you'll get hem when you want or at a reasonable price is doubtful... they're like gold dust!

Most of the metal IG lines have casualty figures. They used to pack them in with the army deals. Other than that I'd check out Reapermini.com as they make a little bit of everything.

I believe there was a human casualty model in the old IG HQ set.
Try searching through Ebay and you can find some.
The model looks like this:

Also, there are Tallarn and Modrian casualties avaible.
Can be found on this website: http://kofler.dot.at/40k/guard.html

Plastic Skeletons from Fantasy make great decoration for bases and objectives.

It's not too hard to add some tattered clothing or even rotting flesh here and there with a bit of green stuff or even foil.

There are also skulls and graveyard items in the Fantasy Bitz area.

I would agree with Bloodquest on this, use fantasy skeletons, add abit of GS for flesh if needed, maybe have it holding a weapon, you can also try reposing human models if you want them alive, just use your imagination. If you make your own I think your mini's will turn more heads than if you use expensive OOP bits.

These make good looking PDF casualties, or with some conversion could be cadian, simply remove the heads and replace. They aren;t too healthy looking, although some are still alive so that might not go with your theme.

I assume you are aware of the SM casualties figures and don't want them.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
