hi all, im thinking of starting up a skaven army and one of the ideas I had was to do a unit of slaves and use skaven just in robes and such and the centre have four of them carrying platform with a skaven slave master dude on it cracking whip just wondering if anyone has any ideas how have the four skaven look as if they are carrying the platform.

Off the Top of me head for an idea could use some arms that are holding spears and either bulk out the spear so its vertial or move arms so the spear going back horizontal as if its some sort of support beam?

Might be some good examples in the gallery too, think they called war litters? or something, not really up on skaven things lol

The trick is, what you are proposing as a 'slave master' will be quite easily confused with a warlord on a warlitter - that is, an actual character model rather than a fluff/interest/unit filler model. You will need to be very specific when setting up, letting your opponent know that 'this is not actually a character model.'

Other than that... why not?

I would rotate the speararms so that they are holding the spear horizontally overhead. Remove the spears, drill out the hands, and use dowels or brass rods to connect them in pairs. Then build the platform across two pairs, then put the guy with the whip on top.

I will be honest ive not read the skaven codex its just a little idea I had floating around. I like the idea of doing fillers i nthe unit to make it stand out and i thought this guy would be pretty cool. i would have said he was the champion of the unit or something.
but using the spears sounds a good idea ill try and get it done and get some pics up
