The army list forum is up, but what I'm curious about is what kind of information
do you need in order to comment on an army list? I'm planning on making one
sticky at the top of the page with those suggestions and a sample post.

Game size, army limitations eg prime only or theme etc. Specific aim (if any) eg. to beat Khador.
List should include model names and points values.
Stickies to good free army builders are probably a good idea.

I'd also reccomend advising posters that if they're looking for help against specific enemies, knowing the faction isn't terribly useful. Threat vectors and units tend to change a lot from caster to caster and many factions can run two solid lists with nothing in common. Basically something to the effect of "If you're looking for advice on against a specific opponent, posting the list the opponent is using will generate the best feedback, but you should at a minimum note what caster you're trying to beat."
Also, SR lists tend to need different things from a meta perspective since you have to be able to handle almost everything with 2 lists, so noting where or not it's for an SR event will go a long way.

Knowing the tier bonuses/reqs would help. Sometimes you get a pretty fair bonus, or lose quite a bit, by changing just one model.

The other thing I would want to add (so far no complaints) is "models available" or something similar, its hard to suggest things if the person either doesn't have them or cant afford to get them.

A few thoughts on models available:
I think it's safe to say either Whole Range, Stuff I Don't Have, or mention any
duplicates you might own. In Warmachine, spam lists are cool and all, but
unnecessary and I don't normally assume that someone has them. Automatically Appended Next Post: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/353633.page
I will make this sticky once I get the chance.

Does anyone have feedback for either the article or the summary post?

I would have found it useful to have some ideas of which models to collect when starting out.
I kind of went wrong and just bought random models when I started out, but I have since learnt to read the army book and have worked out that model A works well with model B and C which gives me a better overall army
