Has anyone read this? I was wondering if it was worth picking up.

Thanks!

P.s. : I wasn't sure where to put this, but I figured I'd try here. Mods feel free to move.

I recently got the Enforcer omnibus for $4CDN of my own money after discounts and a gift card I had left over. Should I expect good things or get another omnibus? The only thing I've read is 20 pages of Prospero Burns and no other 40k books.

What does that have to do with my question regarding Purging of Kadillus?

The Enforcer omnibus is pretty good similar IMO to Inquisitor novels. (Note: Not THE Inquisitor novels just novels where an Inquisitor is the main character)
The Purging of Kallidus... i haven't read it but a friend told me it was pretty good so maybe worth picking it up.

I finished the 'Purging of Kadillis' last week, and I enjoyed it greatly.

Apart from a solid storyline, the writing style felt suitable in regards to the Astartes, especially the snippet of battle you receive from an Apothecary's point of view. There's even a scene with a decent look at tactics involving Predators working together, as well as with Thunderhawk Air Support.

The Astartes aren't drastically OTT (Which I think is becoming more of a problem in Codex Fluff than Black Library fiction now), and regret every loss appropriately. Overall, something I'd recommend looking at if you enjoy reading about Space Marines in general, or the Dark Angels in particular.

Spoiler:
Book seems to be set shortly before 'Angels of Darkness', as it does feature a character from that book.

Bear in mind that I'm not a fan of Gav Thorpe's writing but even so I recommend reading Purging of Kadillus. I won't give it a glowing review as their were some parts that I did not like but nothing too objectionable.
