Maybe it's just me, but who else remembers this guy who appeared to be something of a White Dwarf celebrity back in the day. He had a big showcase of his armies way back in issue 203(!) which included his metal Black Legion thunderhawk, at which time only eleven were made of.
So, anyone?

Fred was an Area Manager for the Retail chain back in '97.
I knew him well as me and him worked on the more exotic vehicles for Big Toof River.
No idea what happened to him, though I saw he sold alot of his stuff on Ebay a few years back.

Hello,
I actually had the opportunity to meet Mr. Reed while I was living in Georgia; he was engaged to my brother's manager.
Fred was doing commission work at the time with plans for starting an online pre-painted scenery business.
The man could crank out a whole squad of minis in less time than it took me to paint one, and they'd look better to boot.
If you ever get the opportunity to meet him, ask him about the time he spent as a sniper in the British Army- great stories!

He worked for Bristol broad weir store as manager in 1997-1999 2001ish never been anyone else like him to be honest now the staff all seem drone ish.... Very hard to strike up repoire with now unless you are buying something..
