Game 2 in our ongoing batrep series. Using an interesting scenario from the Canadian "Astronomi-con"

Great game! It really swung back and forth a lot, and I like a lot of the subtle humour you threw in there. Well done!

I fail to roll any 5+ for the first turn reserve roll.

This puzzled me slightly. Why would you be allowed to bring a unit in on the first turn? The BRB says no first turn reserves

Other than that good game and nice pictures

They were playing a special mission created for a campaign on 40k radio. I think the mission rules allow first turn reserves on a 5+

Correct. In this particular mission there were a bunch of wonky reserve rules.
Only troops could be deployed at the top of turn one.
Units could attempt to come in from reserves turn one with a roll of 5+.
Also each unit arriving had to roll a D6, 1 - Come in from left board edge, 2-5 - Come in from your board edge, 6 - Come in from right board edge.

There were a lot of crazy factors to it that made it fun. I'll be trying out those other Astronomi-con missions that were posted on 40kradio's website.

Fun batrep. I've played that mission a couple of times at Astro and locally (a friend owns their mission disk). The pilot almost always dies
