Are Dark Angels slated for an update anytime soon? I ask because I am about to start a Deathwing army and I wouldn't be happy if a re-release with new codex and models came along to make all my work obsolete! So, do I have a green light, or should I hold off?

They probably won't be seeing an update this year, but next year is a possibility. You'd actually be fairly safe doing a Deathwing army, since it's highly unlikely that they'd remove that option.

Deathwing is also one of the few viable builds DA can still do that wont be outdone by vanilla marines or Loganwing (Loganwing have more expensive Terminators and Logan himself isnt cheap).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

The FAQ/errata update that GW posted on their website really helps the army. If you're going Deathwing, Ravenwing, or Dualwing, it's a solid codex. If you're going for a more balanced "battle company" like a standard Marine army, you're gonna have it rough. They're really starved for options on standard Marines, and not even the squad sizes are variable.
