The war walkers have to have 2 weapons. They all have to have 2 weapons. At least that's how I read it.
I am a personal fan of 2 scatterlasers. 8 S6 attacks each is nasty. Though with the need for anti-tank that this list desperately needs, keeping brightlances in wouldn't be a bad idea.

i should have made the list abit more clearer , i ment 2 with 2 scatter lasers, and 1 with 1 scatter lazer and 1 bright lance in each unit. do you think that could be enough anti tank?

Dont mix the weapons in a walker unit, take 2 units with lance, because thats all the anti tank you will have, and then one unit with scatter laser, it can deal with most hordes/transports/MC just fine.
For troops...avengers cant take brightlances! If you want it just go for guardians with bright lance in wave serpent.Although I recommand putting EML on the serpents and if you have points on the guardians too.
HQ is awesome.

Ah then there we go, but I still think eml serpent plus eml guardians is a better combo, you have extreme range and 2 small PINNING blasts. People say its overrated, but in reality one pinning check can change the course of the game. And 2 str 8 ap 3 shots(even at bs 3) is a pretty big threat to any tank save the land raider. Considering that its your troops and they are just guardians.

Even an Autarch would be better in this list than the Avatar. He's just gonna get shot down fast. Walkers really need guide so you could bring Eldrad in a MSU DA squad in a serpent, bring it down the flank and go double guide on walker units, fortune serpent in cover. Quite effective.
Never mix your guns. 24 scatter laser shots, or 6 EML shots. Don't go getting too crazy with different combos.
Serpents could use EMLs or Lances, depends on your WW load outs and what you expect to face. Don't be afraid to drop the DA unit sizes to get more points.

Come on folks, please do not recommend guardians with EML or Brightlance, Wraithlords with Scatterlasers, going for pinning, walkers with brightlances, or avatar in a mech list to new players. If you have played Eldar for more then a few games you will realize you are setting someone up for failure.
Jay, firstly, welcome to Eldar and have some fun killing the Mon'Keigh.
So things to know about war walkers if you didn't already:
- They are fragile, not quite Vyper fragile, but a strong breeze will still mess them up.
- They are TERRIBLE in CC, thus why the Wasps are laughable. Which by the way they do have experimental rules http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/w/Wasp.pdf... and they are awful with the only redeeming factor of being BS4
- Guide turns these guys from meh to Wow that hurt
- Outflanking with them while nice, is unreliable and puts them at a greater threat for mass str4-5 fire that wouldn't normal have range.
- Take all 3 in the squadron with matching weapons so that they are all the same range and role. Scatter Lasers are typically recommends so that the massive volume of shots makes up for their terrible BS3.
That being said, the best means you can do this list in my opinion is 3 sets of 3 all with Scatter lasers. Take Eldrad in a serpent with 5 DA and hang back with them to cast guide on 2. Take the other two Serpents also as 5 mans and equip all 3 with EMLs or BL. The serpents hang out in front of the Walkers to give them 50% cover. Take 9 Wasp Walkers just to keep in the theme of the list if you have the money.
This list will bump you up to 2k points (standard) but you get the gist:
HQ
Eldrad
Troop
5 DA in Wave Serpent w/ Bright Lance
5 DA in Wave Serpent w/ Bright Lance
5 DA in Wave Serpent w/ EML
3 Wasp Assault Walkers w/ Dual Scatter Lasers
3 Wasp Assault Walkers w/ Dual Scatter Lasers
3 Wasp Assault Walkers w/ Dual Scatter Lasers
Heavy
3 War Walkers w/ Dual Scatter Lasers
3 War Walkers w/ Dual Scatter Lasers
3 War Walkers w/ Dual Scatter Lasers
6 different targets will take 24 S6 shots a piece, for a total of 144 S6 shots and 3 S8 shots.

Blue Dagger, as usual raises very good points. One caveat I would like to raise however, While Scatter Lasers are conventionally the way to go on War Walkers, its important to note that the humble Shuri Cannon is also a solid choice. That gun gives you 3 s6 shots with 24 inch range for only 5 points- meaning your war walkers are suddenly only 40 points! The problem does remain that they are quite fragile, but you've got 6 squads to help mitigate that. Also saving 20 points per walker, means that over 6 squads you can save exactly 360 points. What else is exactly 360 points you ask? 2 squads of five fire dragons in shuri cannon serpents is what! Doing that, while it will lower the range of your fire base, will give you a bit more heavy anti tank and still maintain a withering hail of s6 shooting.

The main reason I don't recommend Shuricans to most people is that I really don't recommend outflank Warwalkers, reserves can be too fickle. Warwalkers that aren't outflanking really shouldn't be trying to get in that 24" bubble since there is a lot of death that awaits them that close. The extra 12" of range means you'll have range on most advancing armies turn one, which is crucial for these transport obliterators. For a 120pt throw away outflank unit shuicanns are fine, but in a walker themed list where they are your backbone you need to play a bit more defensively.

Although the Wasp Walker is quite laughable, I think the fact that it can jump 24" and count as troops is enough for me to take them seriously.
The only thing I would change in Blue Dagger's list is loose one of the DA squads and then find 20 points to get five fire dragons. Even with the BL and EML, I think the anti tank is a bit lacking

Wasp - Can't score since it's a vehicle and if it moves 24" it can't shoot and doesn't get a 4+ cover save like a skimmer. AV10 you need to shoot them before they shoot use so you should only be using that move is a SERIOUS moment of need.
3 Scoring troops at 2k is bad enough, 2 scoring troops is a recipe for fail.

With wasps, the question is, how much are you willing to spend on walkers? +15 points for BS4 is actually not a bad investment on a per-model basis, although you'd be mad to use them as assault troops. These guys seem to have Swooping Hawks Syndrome; they're kinda shiny and fly around a bit, but if you fly around you can't shoot, and if you don't then they're expensive, fragile elves. However, to be able to take them as troops (albeit non-scoring) and with the "flexibility" of the jump jets (yeah, we'll call it that), combined with BS4, they could see use.
Crazy idea - ditch the mech completely and go with defender guardian foot list to save points, and then go walker crazy. One serpent with a DAVU and Eldrad and you're set.
Eldrad 210
5 DA's in Serpent with BL, spirit stones 205
10 Guardians, Embolden Lock, Scatter Laser 125
10 Guardians, Scatter Laser 95
3 Wasps with Scatter Lasers 225
3 Wasps with Scatter Lasers 225
3 Wasps with Scatter Lasers 225
3 War Walkers with Scatter Lasers 180
3 War Walkers with Scatter Lasers 180
3 War Walkers with Scatter Lasers 180
Total 1850
Its light on troops, and your guardians are vulnerable, but its very very shooty. Drop a wasp unit for more guardians/DAs if you need more objective holders. Spirit stones are there only because it was 1840, and it was 1870 when I had warlocks in both guardian squads.
BlueDagger is right guys, stop approving every list you see and give it some real critique from your experience - Avatars don't work in mech lists, don't approve of lists trying to be different, those tanks won't fail morale checks any time soon with or without fearless, and they won't help him much in melee either.
It has potential, but I fear eldar walkers are just too fragile to do this job. If wasps were scoring you could do some very interesting things in many lists, and I'd honestly use war walkers if they didn't compete for a Heavy slot with my skimmers.

Personally, i like the Wasp walkers.
Either by using the 24" move to contest, or simply to get away from a unit the will charge them next turn they have uses.
And the BS4 doesn't hurt either.
Also it may be possible to charge with them, I'm considering isolated small units, such as long fangs off in a corner or something similar, that a unit of 3 walkers should stand a good chance against. But it may be better to shoot them, 24 shots, with 16 hits and 13ish wounds would usually result in 4ish dead long fangs... but if a unit gets shaken it'd be quite unexpected.
Also, against AV13 vehicles with rear armour 10 that didn't move last turn... a few S5 attacks in combat can achieve something that head on S6 spam cannot.
Another thing I've considered is blocking vehicles. If for instance you have no way reliable to kill a certain vehicle left alive at the end of the turn, and that vehicle will move to contest or claim an objective, some jumping walkers can simply get in the way.
At 15 points per model, I'm happy to pay that for the BS4 alone. The rest is just a situational bonus, and i like moving things around quickly.

I really need to read that rulebook again.
In that case, I wouldn't count on Wasps too much. A unit or two just to play around with and generally annoy your opponent. And besides, the BS4 (almost) makes up for it
