This is a seriously old school model kit from 1973 when Tamiya was still new on the modeling scene. But for 5 bucks in a bargain bin I couldn't resist! Detail is a little sketchy and the innards are nearly non-existant but it was a fun kit either way. One thing that kinda screwed the model a little is when my airbrush was coughing up and so made the finishing sand and dust effect a little speckly.

It still needs decals but it's basically complete.

Wow, that is a nice, ney, an awesome Sdkfz 251! Details look pretty darn good for a 33 year old kit. Whatcha using it for? Display only? 54mm WW2 gaming? Something else? Great weathering job, looks fresh off the Russian front.

Do not use the CLEAR dice!

Dear Whiny Space Marine Players,
you get 3+ armor saves on all your troops (save scouts), Assault cannons, a huge assortment of vehicles and weapons, arguably one of the best if not THE best tank in the game, funny helmets, and a partrige in a pear tree.

suck it up, space marines. You're the emperor's chosen superhuman warriors. stop whining like a guardsmen and take it like a superman!

nyarlathotep: It's for display pretty much. It was good practice, since I never used an airbrush before! Oh, and it's supposed to be representing an Afrika Korp vehicle.

SirNotInThisFilm: Yes... orks are great!

They used the same paint (dunkelgelb) in both theaters of operation, so Afrika Korp, Russia, same difference! Would make a good Ork wagon, with a wee bit o' converting to reduce it's obvious historical pedigree. But I figured it was a display piece, given the attention to detail. Good stuff and thanks for sharing it with us!

That's pretty sweet.  Nice weathering. 54mm right?

Post it again when you put the decals on it.
