Im thinking of making a team for BB. I notice the GW teams are rather (IMO) expensive. Are there alternative models out there? Or can i just substitute me 40k / fantasy models and just kit bash them?

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I suggest that since you do not want to pay the high price for a team.Go the Ebay route. You could always do the conversions but you will have to do some sculpting. Also some leagues are real sticklers about that stuff.

Shadowforge dose have a nice line of all female players, my Pact team is made with the Bunny players as there base.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor. |

Blood Bowl teams can also easily be converted from Fantasy or 40k models. The easiest is an Orc team from the Assault of Black Reach Orks and nobz, with the Troll from the Fantasy box set.
