I like your Warmahordes, especially the dinosaur spikey thing. They seem really well painted but i am afraid i am gonna have to agree with your self confessed poor camera work.

I am not much better but if you get a shoebox and cut it in half thats an instant light box! All you need do is selloptape a piece of A4 paper to the back wall of the box with a curve for the backround. Then all you need do is pinch two or three or as many as you can find lights from around the house (more light the better). Then lay your lightbox on a table and plop your camera about 30-40 cm from your minis on the table (Table=instant tripod ). Switch on macro (slows down the shutter speed a bit so it gets a better go at getting in focus) and Shoot! A personal tip is to use the Screen rather than the viewfinder as the screens are pretty hi res and you can tell when you've nailed the detail.

EDIT: I can tell your camera is good but the lack of lighting is aking the photos all fuzzy...
