ok i heard from my uncle, that the orks might be getting a new codex here sooner or l8er, i wasnt sure he always seems to be on top of things but i think that this is pushing it, esspecially since the tau, witch hunters, and other races need it more, does anyone have any input on this??

Perhaps he meant Orcs and Goblins who recently got a new army book, as the Orks in 40k were updated not that long ago.

Well we only play 40k, and i believe thats what he was talking about, if no one else has heard of it i understand, i was very surprised when i heard it too.

Maybe by Orks he meant Grey Knights. I get those mixed up all the time too.

I wouldnt say that completely. They were the last 4th edition codex made, and "supposedly" with 5th in mind, even though you cant argue that to much, as the codex falls apart rather quickly with rules. Id personally LOVE a real updated codex. We dont need new minis or anything because the range looks really good as it is, but our codex is showing its age rather poorly, and its really not THAT old either

I haven't ever seen it surface apart from "i wish" stuff. They don't need one yet really - and it would be better if they got released new for the 6th ed rules whenever in the grim dark future that might be...

As an ork myself i can wait for now

1. If you take that statement at face value, then yes, sometime in the next decade or so, Orks will get a new codex.

2. Is typing an 8 really that much easier than typing the letters 'at'?)

3. Agreed with other ork player, don't really need a new codex, doing fine, rather wait for 6th. And model range is great.

Actually demons were the last 4th edition codex.
If the sixth edition rumours hold true I can see chaos, eldar, and orks getting updated shortly after its release. but as far as solid rumors nothing has been heard.

Hmm.. crossed wires here perhaps.

It would seem very unlikely, given what we know is coming out, that the orks will get a new codex any time soon. Appreciate the thought though, but I suspect this is a wild shot in the dark rumours wise, so I'm going to lock this.
