I saw a recent post with some very nice ww2 krauts and felt like showing off some of my ww2 Russians. I used these for some games I ran at a couple conventions. The games came out well netting me a best of show award and $75 bucks worth of Osprey books. It was because a spent an ***load on terrain, but I'm still a little more proud than I should be.

I think tomorrow after my battery recharges and I have some sunlight I'll take some photos outdoors. I think these ones didn't turn out too spectacularly. The flash seems to have washed out the color on the faces especially. All the vehichles are 1/50th scale and except for the last photo, all are from Precision Model Designs.

T34/76 I painted on the markings after I ruined one model with decals

T34/76 1943

KV-1

T34 and SU100. These are Solido diecast toys

I have more but they are all pretty much more of the same. now on to the troops. They are BAM, Artizan, BTD, and Old Glory

76.2mm AT Gun

Some AT Bomb dogs, a sniper and an AT Rifle team

NKVD squad

A random selection of troops

And a box full of soldiers and conscripts ready to die for the motherland!

Let me know what you think. If you want to see my Germans let me know. I think they are a bit more impressive than the Russians and many of the troops and vehicles have camo paint schemes.

Bought them all over. Here is a list of my primary sources for infantry
http://www.oldgloryminiatures.com/categories.asp?cat=563 Crusader and Artizan figs are designed to be compatible (same sive weapons)
http://www.artizandesigns.com/
http://shop.warlordgames.co.uk/28mm-ww2-bolt-action-101-c.asp BAM are a teeny bit smaller than the rest but go just fine
http://www.blacktreedesign.com/northamerica/home.php?cat=2517 gotta be careful with blacktree. The newer stuff is nowhere near the quality of the older stuff, i.e. don't waste money on the U.S. paras but the German and Russian lines are great. The weapons will be a bit larger than the other ranges.

For vehichles I actually prefer finding Solido toys. Not as detailed but no assembly and I find them easy to paint, not to mention they are my preferred scale (1/50th)
