It would be nice if we had a P&M section here in the Warmahordes area. I guess even just starting a post your pictures thread would be a start. I'll try to get some pictures up later today.

I fully agree as there is nothing in normal P&M which is rather disappointing

Don't think it's necessary myself.

Actually, I like the painting and modeling stuff to stay in the painting and modeling section.

Never, we want to keep p&m merged so that people get exposed to other models and other games more often. We wont rule out tagging threads to filter them in the future, but there will be no distinct p&m forum for any game.

I like having them merged.

Then would at least be acceptable to have a single painting thread pinned in General Discussion so we don't lose at least one thread?

I'm not sure I follow what you're asking Sgt.

What one thread are we losing?

Ok, I stand corrected and retract the question.

I can respect the staff's wishes to keep all P&M merged but have you guys tried posting your non-gw stuff there? It gets 16 views, 1 reply, then buried under 2 pages of threads of orks and "which chapter should I chose?" threads that get thrice the attention.
There really is no incentive to post non-gw models in those sections when you can't get any constructive feedback.

My Warmachine thread has over 22k views and 10 pages...

Sorry, just reread that now. I meant could we have one dedicated thread for neat Warmahordes paintjobs/conversions/whatever pinned on here so it won't be lost in P&M under the many 40k/fantasy type threads.

I'll look into it. I'm trying to avoid as many stickies as possible. Maybe when I delete
my announcement at the top of the page.

I think that a more democratic approach is warranted. How many people play GW games? How many play PP games? Or any other? If the numbers of PP gamers are rising, as all indicators state, then maybe all we need to do is start posting PM blogs commensurate with the numbers playing. We need to focus on getting more players to actually paint and post their models, rather than try to get the mods to adjust the site.
The reason I say this is that, for every PP blog, there seem to be about 50 GW painting blogs. That is just reality, and won't change until there are more PP blogs.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
In fact, I am getting ready to start a kind of PM/Tactics hybrid blog series, based on my Protectorate/Skorne/Retribution armies. By the time they are done, there will be about 10-12 threads for all to scoff and criticize!

Cat,

I switched over to posting in one thread in showcase forum
because my brain simply cannot track the number of threads
it would take to keep up with my painting add.

I look forward to your blog though.

Actually, I hadn't looked in that forum before. Seems perfect. Thanks!
