I really want to get the Shadowstorm/Stormlord set so i can put a superheavy tank in my BA force. If I get one of these tanks I would paint them in a BA scheme with BA iconography. Would this be legal saying that its a BA tank but while I still use the normal datasheets for the tank?

It depends on what your definition of legal is, and what kind of games you were looking to play, for 'Normal' games of 40k the BA codex does not have an option to take any superheavy tanks.

This would be just in Apocalypse battles.

You can take an Imperial superheavy in Apocalypse - just pay the points. Nothing requires it to be painted some special way. If you paint it red with BA symbols that's fine.

If there's some other reason you're thinking of this (codex specific powers maybe?) you'd better discuss it with your opponent.

You could take a Stompa for your BAs in Appoc if you wanted.

there are NO restrictions on what you want to take to an appoc game.
