So, I love Walkers. A lot. And I've also been looking at getting a Space Marine army. (oh no, I'm turning into one of...them! )

So, looking at BA, I love their number of Dreads. Not sure how EFFECTIVE this list will be, but I like it. But, CAN it be competitive?

Originally I had planned to have the Death Company with Jump Packs with Dante. Maybe in Apocalypse. O_o Anyways, I think it CAN work, any thoughts?

As a fellow lover of walkers, I approve, but I can't offer too much help on the 'whether it will be effective' front, but it will certainly look awesome on the tabletop.

Not effective.
The dc dreads will die so quickly you need to move them fast for heavy support use stormravens. Seeing as this list is made for fun rather than effectiveness (even tho this can be effective)
3 sr put 3 furiosos with blood talons in them
means 3 less dreads but that way your dreads will be effective
Or
take 3 furiosos with the frag cannon and put those in drop pods then stick 3 dc dreads in 3 stormravens. and then add troops that can potentially actually capture an objective because you have nothing that can hold an objective and at least 75% of your army is angry and charges the closest enemy. Nice theme tho

I think 5 Drop podding Dreads first turn is pretty devastating, even at this high points level. And you have the option of starting the AC dreads on the board, and just using their Pods for blocking....
Not going to be easy to win most games, will probably require most of the dreads surviving first turn, which is a big ask really. But i think it would work.

He would most likely crack the blood talon ones first because most people know how scary those are in cc but with most armies they have enough melta laz and other fun cannons to break the dreads.

This was what I was thinking. Looking at the list more and more, I do think that this list would crumble with mass AT.

BUT! If the Dreads survive the first turn, then destruction shall rain.

And I do have Scouts for capturing objectives. Never said it was effective objective capturing. XD

And yeah, the Stormraven is probably a good idea. Hm...

Is the Dread Librarian any good? Worth it?

This is kinda making me want to make a walker army for every race that has them. XD
