Hey, I am looking for a Small skirmish game(small as in small model counts)
The criteria being
1. Not historical
2. Not Malifaux, or WM ( I already play those)
3. Not Mercs(My friend and I were giving each other new game system, he said that he is going to get me mercs)

Song of Blades and Heroes. A typical 300 point game is 5-10 models and you can use any figures you want. It's alot of fun and plays very fast and has become the go-to game for our club. http://www.ganeshagames.net/fantasy/

Only "drawback" is that it is far less expensive than Mercs so your friend might feel a bit short changed. Maybe you could buy him a warband?

Is Historical Parody okay?

Brushfire is only $35 per person to get into (Warbands). Its designed to be played at both low model count warbands (3~6 models per side) or big games (20~30 models per side). The setting is somewhat historical, in the fact that all of the factions are based on historical nations, but it has a Redwall/Mouse Guard visual style.

Infinity is sci-fi, with typically 8 to 10 models a side.

Rules and army lists are freely downloadable, and it's an excellent game imo.

Beasts of War are doing Infinity Week this week, so there's a intro video to the quick start rules if you're interested.

If you mean the Infinity faction then the beasts of war site I linked above has all that info in video format.

Here's what IJW said about it on the BoW forums. I agree with him so it saves me typing it myself!

Nomads have the best Hackers and lots of Remotes (robots). They tend towards sneaky tricks, or at least they do when I’m playing.

Pan Oceana tend to be the most straightforward faction and have the most access to thermo-optic camo.

Haqqislam have lots of doctors and some of their units can regerate, plus there’s all the Hassassins.

Aleph have the highest tech and tend towards elite lists with fewer models. Achilles is a beast!

Combined Army are the aliens and also tend to have expensive models/lower model counts.

Ariadna have lower tech but bigger guns. And werewolves, plus they can also go very camo-heavy. No Hackers and only two Remotes.

Yu Jing have lots of different types of Heavy Infantry (powered armour) and also Ninjas.

However that’s all gross generalisations – apart from Ariadna not being able to do hacking without mercenary backup, all the factions can do all play styles. If you think that a typical force might have 6-10 different models in it but a faction might have forty-plus units to choose from, all with their own equipment options, you can imagine how much variation there can be in the lists that each faction can put together.

On top of that, list building is less critical than it is in 40k (it’s still important, but far less so) thanks to the number of different things each unit can do. ,It’s not what you use but how you use it’ has a lot of truth in Infinity.

Eden by TABAN miniatures is a nice quick post apocalyptic game if you don't mind navigating freshly translated rules. 4-5 model teams.

Anima Tactics by Cipher Studis and FFG is a Final Fantasy style minis game of 4-6 model skirmish. My preference game wise between the two. Model wise I like Eden.

We tried anima tactics couple of time. Feels weird, doesn;t get me that this is a wargame thing.Maybe because we play the RPG
If I were to choose from Infinity's range i would be probably lean toward Aleph or the Combine. Will find out whicever work like a space marine

Anima Tactics is a cool skirmish game imho
Really like the game mechanics, the minis, the fluff ...
great fun.

For a small game that has no specific figures have played a horror game called Fear and Faith by Ganesha Games. It is usually about 4 models per side, but easily adapted if you wanted a bigger scenario. Campaigns are also available.

The game is based on the Song of Blades and Heroes system, but there is a nice wide variety of genres from fantasy to sci-fi including modern and pike and shotte.

Quick to pick up cheap and can be started with minis you already have makes it well worth checking out. PDF's can be downloaded for around $5-10 and there is lots of scope within a single book.
