So has anyone else seen Paul yet? I am a big fan of Hot Fuzz and Shawn of the Dead. I was a little worried that Paul was going to be Americanized a bit to much but it wasn't a problem.

There are plenty of references in the movie that only people like us (dakkites) would get. So anyone else see it?

I have not seen it, but I have heard that it is "good" but not "great".

Maybe it was the booze, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of nerd in-jokes. Exceeded my expectations. Only thing that grated a bit was the strooong anti religious stuff. I'm pretty anti-organized religion, but some of that was a bit crass.

I didn't watch it. I saw the trailer and didn't laugh once, so for me it wasnt a goer. Might try it on DVD.

Try this for some good old fashion Simon and Nick humour. You won't be disapponted.

Went to see it with mates - thought it was quite a laugh.

Another mission, the powers have called me away. Another chance to carry the colours again. My motivation, an oath I've sworn to defend. To win the honour of coming back home again.

New Mexico. Look, a UFO!

Went and watched it Saturday with the wife. Definitely worth the $8 for me, she thought it was quite good as well. The trailers had given away some of the jokes, but it was still very funny. I'd buy the DVD for sure.

In that foulest of ages, this ship had hung in the skies above Holy Terra as the world's atmosphere burned. Its name was Ashallius S'Veyval, in a dead language, from a dead world. In Imperial Gothic, it translated loosely as Echo Of Damnation.

Thank Heaven! The crisis --The danger, is past, and the lingering illness is over at last --, and the fever called "Living" is conquered at last.

Probably work

I saw it on Saturday with a date. She's not really nerdy, but is a big fan of Simon Pegg and thought it was awesome. I thought it was pretty good as well. Probably DVD worthy (which is quite a thing to say, coming from me).

I thought it was terrible tbh, only laughed once (at the cop bit in the shop). Imho if a comedy film isn't funny, there is no point in seeing it. Plus cinema tickets here are £6.50! Outrageous!
