Hey all, I recently was able to buy a box of Grey Knights from my FLGS. I must say the cost was high, but the quality of the sculpts and options given in this kit are incredible.

Plus the fact that you can build 4 different type of squads with one box is pretty impressive. It's amazing all of this is packed onto 2 sprues.

Maybe because some of us want to know about the quality of them before buying them? Sheesh.

I'm actually intrigued that they've already started selling GKs. I'll wait for the release and inevitable Battle force though, as this season's purchases have caught up on me.

Then he should write an in-depth review on them.

If everyone posted a topic when they bought a new box to tell everyone how excited they were, these forums would end up being pretty abysmal pretty quickly.

I expound on it later, I am at school right now. I'll try to get some up close pictures of the sprues.

I was lucky as this was out of their Black Box. They really weren't supposed to sell it yet. They also got a Dreadknight, and assembled it, it is a very impressive model.

How many warding staves/thunder hammers/falchions in the box? Just one per box in typical GW fashion?

They sure as hell aren't supposed to be. Black Boxes are preview boxes, not stock.

Well, only one warding staff can be placed in a squad, so if GW only put one, they would be smart...

Yup, it's an unfortunate reality.

This kit comes with 5 Regular backpacks, 5 Teleportation backpacks, 12 shoulder pads, 7 heads (2 without helmets) two Psycannons, a Psilencer and an Incinerator, 5 Pairs of legs, multiple arms in segments, loose hands (that are pointing, holding a severed daemonette head, in a clenched fist etc.) 4 Force swords, 3 force halberds, 3 sets of falchions, 8 Stormbolter arms, 5 sets of double magazines, 1 warding stave & 1 thunder hammer. There's also a ton of purity seals and little accoutrements for sigils and talismans. The sculpt quality on these is incredible. Plus almost zero mould lines, which could probably be attributed to nearly new dies and sculpts.

Here's some pics of the choice parts, I have no idea what I want to do with this squad.

Throwing it across the room is unlikely to fix the problem, though.

A friend's camera had a similar defect. It died shortly after. CCD was fried. The image sensor on that camera is skipping vertical lines and the electronics is patching the gaps with an extrapolation.

You know that GW has posted very good pictures of all the sprues on their website, right? Just click on the unit on the store page, and scroll through the pictures til you find sprues.

Don't battleforces come on second waves?

I've got a Loganwing/Longfang force and a DE force to wad through atm. GKs will have to take a back seat until then. Although I might start an inquisitorial force just to use my Vindicare.
