I am thinking of starting a Ogre army. I have some minis already and was wondering how much more I would have to buy to get a play able force.
I have
Paymaster
Araby
Imperial (missing head but I think I have it)
Hunter
Butcher
Gorger
I know I will have to pick up some bulls but how many? I am thinking 2 or 3 boxes.
I am wanting to play a force that I can do cheap and with the above models already bought I am guessing this might be the cheapest option for a army.

With a Battalion box or two and you could make a pretty solid army. I rather like everything in the box and it seems you have a couple characters to add to it already. Toss in other units for flavor and you're all set!

Seconded for the battalion box. I have picked up a couple, and with that, you get enough bits to make the Lead Belchers into bulls instead, as most people seem to agree that lead belchers leave some to be desired.
however the models that come in the battalion boxes are pretty much the only things you NEED to buy for an ogre army, aside from characters and heroes.

I'll third the motion for the battalion. Add another Gorger and you're set.

As a final reccomendation.
don't run maneaters. they are way overpriceed.
the hunter is also pretty much worthless.
use the ME models you have for a Tyrant and Bruiser.
You want at least 2 battalion boxs.
don't make the Leadbeltchers. make them Bulls because Leaddies are also pretty bad, especially in lower point games(over 3k they have a small use as a distraction)
if you make the leaddies bulls, 2 battalions will give you 8 IGs, 20 bulls, and a whole mess of gnoblars(you can make more then the 24 that come with the battalion as there are a bunch of gnoblars on the ogre sprues)

Model half the bulls with only clubs and half with extra hand weapons or ironfists. Then, depending on what you want the unit to have, you put those models in the front rank.
