Hey all,

My gaming group and I are about to start a Necromunda campaign, and I was just wondering, apart from GW and Heresy, does anyone know of a good place to get Delaque-esque miniatures? Preferably plastics, but I don't mind.

Thanks

Doop.

You could always convert them yourself, like in my P&M blog here on dakka. I cut off everything from clothes to armor o cadians/catachans, and just greenstuffed coats. Be sure to add gogles, and use a bald head.

You are't going to find many plastics for Delaque usage though.

Thanks for the reply, but is there any clearer pictures? I only checked out the first page, but are there any pictures beyond that?

yep, there are. It's 12 pages, and the Necromunda part ranges until page 8 (ish). Yeah, my fotography skills were bad when I started, there are clearrer pictures starting from page 2 and 3

This might sound a bit odd, but you could look at Old West Miniatures (particularly Black Scorpion, as those are a bit bigger and will probably fit in with the scale of GW). They have a lot of dudes in dusters. Put bald heads on them, and Necromunda weapons, and you are good to go. This may be easier than sculpting coats.

You might look at other historical miniatures, as there are probably other "eras" with long coats as well.

In a John Blanche interview in an old white dwarf, he explains the delaques were inspired by ''40's gangsters and nearly every cowboy you've seen in a duster'', so cowboy minis will work!

I believe this sums up my reaction -

I actually thought, No, this cannot be, what a newb. Then I got onto the Black Scorpion website, and there were the trench coats. Even the clothes and ammo belts fit in. Thank you!

EDIT: Speaking of conversions, my friends and I have maybe decided to play with vehicles in out campaigns. Is there any trucks/cars/bikes that would fit in with Necromunda (both size-wise and fluff-wise)? Thanks for all the help so far, it's awesome.

There's a nice stickied thread on my forums that the guys put together with some good alternatives for necromunda gangs

A duster? Like wot maids use for cleaning?
Thanks for that Black Ram, have the image of a cowboy wearing nought but a cowboy hat, boots, chaps and a duster!!
and it steadfastly refuses to go away!

They really are. I have actually seen them before, just never thought to use them in Necromunda. Beautifully sculpted though.

Hmm, yeah, maybe for a model with a type of armour or something? Good find.
