Today's lesson i learned is folks who play 40k are much easier to interact with than those who dont. Im saying this cuz i have moved to a new town with my mrs and son and i know no one. As in i have no friends were i live and cuz im not into football and the WOOOOOO WOMEN attitude most fellas my age have i tend to not make friends as easy as most. So im walking back from shoppina nd see some chap with a GW bag so i ask him if he collects and we got into a long conversation oabout how people seem to collect but not play round here.

I know the 40k being an imediate icebreaker is always a starting point but i find even on here every seem to be really sound. In all my years years collecting and working in an FLGS i have oly ever met 2 people who are complete muppets who play 40k.

So the question is, How many people have you met/know who play 40k are morons and how many ae sound?

Sounds daft but im interested lol

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

at our FLGS its a three part division, there is a core of veterans that are easy to get along with and avid gamers/painters all, there is a whole mob of random rabble that we usually try to avoid if possible, this includes the drooling fanboys and overzealous ork/imperium players who cry out taglines from the fluff, and then there are what we like to call devastators, power gamers who come out of no where, beat people to dust and leave.

I find at most FLGS or any gaming club, that most people are pretty nice. I will say however, that many people who play any sort of warhammer can be socially awkward at times. Not extreme like dungeons and dragons players or the like (i was one of them, i know) but i find some warhammer players seem to be either completely inadequate socially, or they over compensate by being extremely obnoxious and in your face for no real reason. Most are in the middle though, the even keeled people who are mature and down to earth.
