ok ive come up with a small game and id liek to share with you guys:
rules:
1.you look at the person above you's unit and name how many guardsmen you guess would need to be sent to kill it (in fluff terms since never on earth would a guardsmen kill a land raider in game wise) these are normal guardsmen with everyday equipment but they do have grenades etc and numbers.

(oh and do give some insight on HOW they would tackle the foe)

2. after your guess you name a unit for the next person.
3. any guess you feel is wrong quote it and challenge it so it can be discussed but do it with a guess for the person below to keep the game moving!(don't take it too seriously its a fun game and just for fun)

ok, I'll play along

if just the lord I'd say a platoon (30-50) or so of guardsmen, just to be on the safe side
if with cultists etc (like a cult from fluff) probably a couple of platoons, maby a company (60-150)
probably shoot to death with lasgun blob of doom

either that or 12 guardsmen.... in Leman Russ Demolishers!

just to be cheesey, give me Death Company Dreadnought with bloodclaws.

I say 100 white shields mushed on commander chenkov, mainly to just bog it down with dead corpses and hold it in place. Followed by 20 or so to stand on top and keep firing tell they kill it.

Nah, about two companies (200-300) ought to do it.

TBH I'd guess around 50-60, just melta the legs and it comes crashing down. After that it's a GK Terminator versus a crapload of guardsmen, and while they're awesome they're not "melta resistant" awesome.
