Ouch...formating hurts my eyes!

Quick notes based on what I could sorta skim thru:
1. personally drop vox net. Not worth the points.
2. Ccs needs 4x plasma or melta. Drop ac.
3. Drop Moo. Always scatters and rarely hits.
4. Pcs. Drop power weapon. They'll never live long enough in cc. Max out melta or flamers. Drop heavy flamer. Way over priced. Take chimera's if you want heavy flamers.
5. Make sure first platoon is blobed in 20 or 30 man squads with a commisar per blob. Run at least 2 of these with power weapons and maybe melta bombs. Only take melta guns if you have left over points. Excellent close combat unit.
6. For hw squads there are lots of debates on ac or lascannon. Most people advocate ac, and putting lascannon in infantry squads to protect them with ablative wounds.
7. See notes on pcs again for second platoon.
8. Don't take heavy bolters. Autocannons are more versatile. Can kill light transports and infantry.
9. I'd look at running all the squads as autocannon(or lascannon) and gl, or better yet plasma.
10. Not a big fan of armoured sentinels. Way over priced. Two fragile lascannons for the cost of a vendetta? If you want sentinels take multi laser scouts. Better yet get 2xhydra, so your manticore isn't the only target. On the table.
11. Manticores rock' but you only have one tank on the table. If you don't want tanks drop the big shiney target and run all infantry. If you want one tank you really need at least three or 4 four for redundancy. Maybe take a lrbt to be the target and draw fire, take a manticore for pie plates, and some hydra's, or even a hellhound or two to round things out.

Drop the voxes, along with anything that contains the word "launcher", "cannon" or "heavy". Those points can be repurposed better.

my opinion, if you want to run a MoO and heavy weapon of some sort in your HQ, the plasma are not worth it. I would go like this for my HQ. it sits in a building, never moves.

company commander
lascannon
sniper rifle
sniper rifle
MoO
cammo cloaks on all.

i would drop voxes. they never seem to be realy worth it.

Yes, because a good bolt to the head keeps anyone charging forward!

Call me a unfortunate accident, but I use to never use vox-casters tell some very tragic games ended in outright slaughter due to some incompetent commanders >.>.

But as for Heavy flamers yea I would recommend you drop them.

I'll come up with some things off of your thoughts. Just to clarify afew things thought. The CCS i planned on sitting back with the heavy weapons teams, hense the heavy weapon with them. I was going to blob up the first platoon into two blobs, again a commissar with each, and then send one PCS with each bloob aswell. The other platoon would be sitting back to blaze away, With the heavy bolter teams acting as supressing fire for anyone coming towards them. The sentinals, i LIKE them, call me crazy.. and the Manticore looks like a fun rain of pie plates. Im not trying to build a, competative, win at the cost of fun, list.. I dont care if i loose, as long as its fun!

You may want to read what a vox does again. It's been years now since voxes affected morale.

Armored sentinels are a waste (too many points, not enough armor, can't scout).

If you must use sentinels, throw a LC on it and suicide scout it at vehicles on Turn 1.

Yet another thread where your advice boils down to "throw away everything you have and buy the stuff I use"
It's just really not that constructive for someone who has already invested a lot in their army.

If you really feel your input is needed in every thread, try helping people make a few refinements or adjustments to what they have. By your comment above, you want him to pretty much abandon *every* models he has apart from squad-filler lasguns, and buy all new models. How many people do you think will actually do that, based soley on the advice of TFG on the internet?

If you want to provide your system as an example for someone who is thinking of starting a guard army, post it as a separate thread for people to reference.

Just remember - you are not the pinnacle of wisdom in the world, and other people might like to try alternatives.
