If I download the whole free trial client, will I have to re-download another client if I get the full version of the game? Or is the trial client the same just with limitations? Because at 9 gigs I'm not sure I want to download a free trial if it only lasts 10 days, then I would have to uninstall it.

You wont have to redownload, but be prepared for additional downloads for patch updates when you launch the game after the initial install (not to mention if you decide to get the expansions).
They may have streamlined the download process and I'm sure many patches are included in the initial download package but there was a time when it could take 8-12 hours downloading/ installing patch updates after you downloaded the initial client and tried to log in for the first time.

Yeah the game will be on the PC as thedude says, so other than normal content patches, once its down for the trial, its down.

On a side note, they nabbed the play before the patch is fully down ala WaR a while back. So intially you won't be able to play while the download is orange, but after about a third of it is down, maybe half.
It switches to yellow and you can play while it still downloads, you might have some extra lag, but its okay.

It also hits a green zone near the end, where you should hardly notice the download.
