Somewhere over the rainbow

It was a nice summer day, so me and some buds felt like playing outside for a change. We were having fun and such when all of a sudden a sea gull came from who knows where and poped a squat on my friends landraider, then this foul creature proceeded to deficate on the landraiders' new paintjob... (funny because the look on my friends face was priceless)

In the long and the short of it we had a long disscusion of if do things like this happen in the real 40k universe ( local indigenous creatures affecting a major battle aspect) so we decided to take the poll to dakka to see what others think .

In could imagine hordes of animals interfering with a battle.

I could also imagine various animal products clogging up critical weapon optics and the like. Or rats and fleas causing outbreaks of diseases in the troops.

I can imagine maybe a bear or something like that coming out of nowhere and killing something important, but a bird pooping in someone's eyes? Not grimdark enough.

No more than they interfere with real military operations, generally. However, 40k is a universe with deathworlds where not a single iota of indigenous life isn't actively trying to kill you, so I guess it depends where you go.

I guess a Valkyrie or similar could suffer a birdstrike and have an engine blow up though...

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.
