Freaky Flayed One

Hey all,
I just bought the Necron Battleforce today, eagerly anticipating the release of the Necron Dex later this year (fingers crossed ). I have been toying with the idea of leaving the Spehss Mahreens for the metal zombie hordes for years and years, and I've had loads of time to think about the type of background I would like. I've decided to go with sort of an Egyptian type thing, with a color scheme of Sandstone base with gold and blue accents, with loads of metallic silver and chrome showing at the joints and cracks in the armor plating. I've linked to my gallery here so you can see my color scheme, I'm not soliciting votes, I just linked so you can see what I'm talking about:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/201798-First%20Necron%20Model.html?m=2&w=600
My reason for posting is that I'm a little bit stuck on the name for my Tomb World. I'm stuck on the fluff, as well. I'm a huge fluff guy, I really like that stuff, but I don't know enough about Necron to think of a good Cron backstory or anything like that. I thought this would be a good subreddit to solicit the advice of Dakka on this particular issue (if it's not, please someone alert the mods to where it should be moved). Thanks for any help and comments you guys can give!

Relative to everything else i don't know that much about Necrons... Based on what i do know here are your generalised options... World, is it: Occupied by another species? Deserted? Damaged in any way? (The tomb complex can be damaged this can result in lower ranking tomb lords leading attacks or the tombs actions being limited) Leader: The lead Necron Tomb lords are often the only one with a personality left: How does your Lord affect your tomb? Do you have multiple Tomb Lords (Maybe they were related in life?) What is your Tomb Lords name? Technology: What kind of Tech does your Tomb favour? (Is it heavy on destroyers or another kind of specialised unit? Or has it lost tech forcing them to make use of Scarabs) Troops: What kind of numbers do you have? How do other things (Tech, tomb damage) relate to your troops? Do you utilise a particular style of attack? (Mass attacks, confusion tactics?) Spacial area: Is your world near any major areas? (Ork held planets, Imperial Navy bases, SM chapter Homeworlds, Forge worlds) Has your tomb been attacked? Who by? Ok... That's all i could think of... Hopefully that will help as a framework for your fluff. As an extra i want to remind you that with Necrons pretty much anything is possible. The tomb can be anywhere and they have technology so advanced it looks magical.

After chopping out half of the Fall of Damnos this morning it seems like we're going to have a field day with new and interesting stuff for our Necrons. One thing to consider heavily is the state of your "Royal House", the Necron Lords of the Tombworld. Are they all able to awaken easily and without disturbance from the stasis chambers, or have some of them started slipping into insanity? Do you plan on having a Flayed Lord, if so you'll want a bunch of Flayed Ones and potentially to say that you've got a large Tombworld; needed as Flayed Lords are kept far from the sane ones. How about Destroyers? Again, Destroyer Lords are slightly batty and so will be sort of fun to make fluff for. If you plan on going for a Wraith Wing though, try adding a Stormcaller Lord in there, perfect for the fluff.
Most of this advice is just about the Lords, if you're looking for what units and such you'll want I can always come back blather about that to

Generally worlds are classified by imperial Nomenculture. All the canon tombworlds have Imperial names e.g. Pavonis or Damnos.
Generally it is best to describe Xenos from an imperial perspective only the Craftworld eldar are really allowed their own voice in the fiction.

Call it Pharos or Anubis. And there should be lots of Pariahs.

I really like the idea of a Royal House at the top of my Tomb World heirarchy, it would allow me to throw in all kinds of Lords. I'm reticent to commit to any particular unit just yet, I'd like to see the new dex and decide on what kind of army I want to run before I decide to make my fluff all about Pariahs only to find out they suck in this new dex, haha. Thanks for the ideas, guys! Keep em coming, good stuff in here.

When I created the fluff for my Necrons I mainly focused on my main Lord and applied his personality to the force. As for a planet any world could be a Tomb World since many things can happen. Most Tomb Worlds are barren and lifeless but given that thousands or even millions of years can pass Tomb Worlds can re-establish life or have life kick started by another race. Alot of the time I've seen players create the fluff for their Lord and then just choose a random environment for their Tomb World, sometimes this in corrilation to the paint scheme for instance a Jungle themed army where the Necrons are covered in moss and vines have grown on Monoliths etc.
As in example here is the fluff of my Necron Lord.
Before being transfered into his body my Necron Lord (called The Destroyer of Eternities by the Eldar and the Red Lord by Imperial Forces) was a general of the Necrontry who was known for his hatred of the Old Ones creations and entire races where destroyed at his hand. After his ascendancy he was used by the C'tan as a force to be unleashed when prisoners where not to be taken. Now millions of years later with the C'tan he served gone (consumed by The Nightbringer) there is nothing to command him and so he has awakened and is setting out to finish what he started by destroying the races created by the Old Ones.

To go along with your egypt theme, your fluff could have a ancedote about some small time space pirates looking to score, so they head off to a desert world rumored to hold 'cursed' treasure. They head down in search of riches untold only to be assualted by screaming skeletons that they've accidently awakened
-All off the top of my head, i'll keep it in mind and see if i can come up with anything else

That dosen't sound very Egyptian to me? I mean the concept is good but Pirates and Screaming skeletons just sounds like PoTC 1 to me.
Instead of Pirates have it be a Rogue Trader crew since this better fits the idea of grave robbers looking to find valuble artifacts. The desert world is fine but the screaming won't really work, Necrons are known to be silent.
You could have your Tomb World be an Ice or Water world to be differant. Imagine a ice shelf covered in snow, the wind is blowing cutting visibility to near zero. A Rogue Trader and his crew are investigating a legend about a Xenos temple which houses great artifacts. As they move across the ice shelf each protected in their winter gear the shape of a pyramid looms ahead of them, barely visible through the weather but for a single glowing rune.

With the Fall of Damnos, we find that Flayed Ones can be very...emotional. And therefor loud. Very loud
