It is card made of polystyrene or ABS plastic. You can buy it from modelling shops. It is useful for modelling and conversions.

More information in topic titles will often elicit better and more comprehensive replies.
@Skarfang: Go to a good model shop. Most Aussie large cities have at least one. If it has trains in it, it will probably have plasticard. Look for the white and green "Evergreen" stand or the orange and black of "Plastruct". Note: "Good" model shops might stock GW products, but GW stores are NOT a "GOOD" model shop.
For your penance (for using a title that doesn't give any idea of what you are after) you will receive a tub of body paint and a dozen MALE (nude) models. Now you may contemplate painting and modelling.
