I've got the tourny tomorrow, any thoughts? (The Sails were added for last minute Objective contesting with my extra 10pts.)

I think it's a pretty good wyche cult for 1250.

Minor item:
Instead of Enhanced Sails, how about a NightShield on the Warriors' Raider? It'll be staying back a bit for shooting, and the NS might actually be useful in shortening enemy range.

Warriors have no Raider, they are there for sitting back and pumping out another Dark Lance Shot. I will probably drop the blast for a third sail, therefore I'll have a guarenteed turn one assault.

I could also drop all the sails for Haywire Grenades on that Shardnet Squad.

Oops. Misread that.

That's a good idea.

I'm guessing you're leaving them in the boats and flaming while the Wyches steal a pain token and run off? Is the Shattershard really worth that? I'd probably just go with a Liquifier as, except in certain situations it will be more reliable - or are you dreading and expecting something like Nobz or TWC to be on the table?

TROOPS:
Wych Squad x9 (148) w/ Hydra Guantlets x1, Hekatrix, Agonizer, Haywire Grenades
Raider (75) w/ Flickerfield, Enhanced Sail

Raider (70) w/ Flickerfield

Statistically Razorflails are more reliable and, barring amazing rolls, superior to Hydra Gauntlets. I'd consider the flip. Also, quite frankly, if you have empty troop slots, I'd drop Razorflails and Hydra Knives and be trying to use the points to field an additional Troop option. Your units are fragile - bring lots of them so it doesn't matter as much if 2-3 die Turn 1.
I'd agree that the Haywires will serve you better than the Aethersails - you'll be in combat Turn 2 pretty much no matter what.

Warrior Squad x10 (140) w/ Dark Lance, Sybarite, Blaster

Neither the Sybarite nor the Blaster seem a brilliant tactical idea. The Sybarite better be there for the leadership boost because you fear running off the objective you'll be camping, because otherwise I will mock you.

Hard to complain about Ravagers.

I'd actually probably trim a few Wyches off every squad in order to buy the Warriors a Raider as well - it will allow you to position them focused on hurting your foe, as opposed to camping an objective - and you can always fly to the objective if you need to, plus it will be an additional lance on the board.

I'm somewhat worried that you're fielding too few troops. FNP on the Wyches is awesome, but would you be better off dropping 2 Haemys for an additional troop option in a boat? I think so. Haemys are anti-infantry, and so are Wyches, you have so many Wyches you'll be wanting to assault a lot of stuff to protect them and that will leave the Haemys struggling for an optimal target. Admitadly I'm a Troop whore, who always likes to bring almost maximum Troop options to a battle. But I do think, especially at 1250, that you'd be better served by more squads of Wyches and less by big mobs of Wyches.

Thanks Thor,

As to changing the Haemos, I come into contact with a lot of JOTWW, KFF, TWC, etc.. I think that the shattershard would be a good addition, however seeing your experience, and how you disagree, I may just change it to a Liquifer.

The sails were there because of the extra points.

The Fact that I dont have another Wych squad/Raider for my warriors is really a model issue, I just dont have them. I need to pick up some more models, I know.

I appreciate the advice, and will use it in my future lists once I get some more models.

Here's what my list is looking like right now...

I can change the shattershard to a Liquifer if you think it would be better, and then put shock prows on 2 of my raiders.

If you have someone bringing TWC as a likely possibility I'd leave the Shattershard, as it will be good for that and you don't have the Venoms to just Dakka them to death with.

Liquifiers are good vs. KFF as they ignore cover saves too, and really if your issue is the Big Mek or Rune Priest the optimal solution is Wyches, not a Shattershard. Oh, and if you fear JotWW then you should count yourself lucky, the dangerous Wolf power is that horrible Lightning one that functionally kills a Raider every turn and has infinite range.

Yeah, if you're limited on Raiders I see where you're going with the list. If you have the models I might still advocate dropping some Wyches or Haemys to buy a 2nd sniper unit of Warriors - but I'll admit 27 Wyches with FNP is a sexy sight.

Yes, last time a player ran a TWC list, I may simply drio the Shattershard since I am not positive I will play them, I was also not aware the Liquifer ignored cover, that is very nice. Furthermore, I just remembered that the Initiative is laughable for me, JOTWW meet my I6.

I may be able to scrape up more Warriors, I do not have anymore on my own, but perhaps I can borrow some.

Again, thank you Thor.
