Stalwart Ultramarine Tactical Marine

Hi, so I had a look (And commented) on the Ultramarine topic about why people find them interesting, and was just wondering what makes your army interesting for you? I'm thinking more in terms of Fluff (For example: Their attitudeds; actions; motives; etc.) than gameplay.

So, comment away!

The fact that they search for Heresy and destroy heretics in a way thats really interesting. Their novels are dripping with character and plot; and they are highly-open to personally created fluff.

They made worlds 'splode.

Also that 'death by pears' reminds me of a webcomic. Death by vampiric vegetables.

Cultist of Nurgle with Open Sores

Bristol, UK

As an eldar player

A race that is at once so similar, and yet utterly different to humanity. Incredibly advanced, yet conceited in the attitude towards "lesser" races. They navigate the webs of fate with casual skill, and are filled with arrogance of superiority. A dwindling race bought to their knees by their own decedance. Their minds are filled with conflicting obsessions, loving of both beauty, and their honing of the skills of warfare and their unique martial arts in the bloody theatre of battle. The way they dedicate themselves utterly to whatever they do, whether it's song, poetry, or their warrior aspect. They are a dichotemy, and that makes them fascinating.

Well, that and I think their models are awesome and are more fun to paint than say, guard or marines (who are very regimented and structured).

Dark Eldar. The fact they feel such entitlement, the fact they are all without question acting in their own self interest. Just the general 'eff you!' of them, if it feels good do it!

+ A big bonus for me is they have no delusions of uniting or conquering the galaxy.

Daemons of Chaos-

Pure emotions and no concerns other than killing whoever banished them and earning glory in the eyes of their God!

And any hero which actively chooses skulls as its choice in clothing is instantly worth a look.

Tyranids.

An ever adapting and evolving apex organism capable of consuming everything in the galaxy like a plague of locusts. Visually, on the battlefield, it's pitch plack from raining spores, while a dark carpet of bone and claws surrounds you. That's pretty intimidating.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Iron Warriors.

The idea that, 39,000 years in the future, we'll go back to trench warfare and sieges. Plus the story of Perturabo and being driven by nothing but sheer, single-minded HATRED.

Regret, remorse and a desire to do good. Striving for perfection. And a little crazy.
