My firend is playing blood angels mostly jump packs with dante as his hq
two land speeders and death company in a drop pod . ( he hasnt pointed it out yet)

I am running an Eldar list to support his assault troops. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

HQ GuideSeer w/ROW 90 pts

Troops x2 6 jetbikes each w/ 2x shuri can 304 pts

Elite 5x firedragons w/exarch crakshot & tank hunter w/ wave serpant shuri cannon 242

Fast attack viper w/ starcannon & shuri can 80pts
viper w/starcannon & shuri can 80pts

Heavy support 3x walker w/ 2x emls each 210 pts
2x Fire prism 230 pts

The idea is place the guideseer next the walkers and blowup the hell outta something whether it be vechicles or troops (6x str 8 ap3 / 6x str 4 ap 4 blasts .
Prisms tl str 10 ap 1 blast / str 6 ap3 large blast what more do i need to say.
The jetbikes and vypers are there to shoot up infantry and contest objectives last minute.

I was thinking about losing the bikes and vypers and running two wave serpants w/ dire avengers .
Any suggestions?

Personally I'd go with Fire Dragon Serpents and Nightspinners.

The Fire Dragons can pop the enemy big nasties that will give his jumpers issues, while the Nightspinners slow down the enemy units trying to get away from the pressing assault.

Correct me if im wrong but I was under the impression that the Night spinner didn't require permission to use with its new rule set

Also a good way to build for a team game is have 1 person build their army to go out and wreck face. And the other persons army to go and win the mission.

I've partnered with my friends BA as eldar before and this tactic has worked for us. The BA player fills his list with "in your face stuff" and maximizes his damage potential and I bring the durable fast troop choices to win the missions.

In game after game his army rushes in and tends to get killed to the man but manages to drag down so much of the opponents army and buys me time to get where i need to be unhindered.

This does take prior agreement of course but is a solid plan.

Units that I've found to be good at this from the Eldar point of view are Guardian Jetbike squads 6 man seems right giving you enough bodies to take a bit of fire and HF, EML Falcons. Pack a min DA squad inside and it is very difficult to shift from an objective at range. It also can help the BA players push by adding 3 str8 shots a turn to the mix.

Also look into how your army and your allies are allowed to interact, such as can I fortune or guide my allies units, do my allies units reroll wounds to a doomed target, and most importantly does the Autarch +1 reserve bonus affect my allies reserves. In the partner games I played we used the Autarch to insure all the BA reserves hit when we needed them.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Sorry for the double post but I've found the list I used in the most recent partner game me and my friend played in

Farseer- Doom, Guide, Sstones, RoWarding (135)

Troops
5 Dire Avengers (60)

5 Dire Avengers (60)

10 Dire Avengers- Exarch, cats, Bstorm (152)
Wave Serpent-tl Cannons, SS (110)

Elites
5 Fire Dragons (80)
Wave Serpent-tl Cannons, SS (110)

Heavy Support
3 Warwalkers- Scatter Lasers (180)

Falcon- HF, EML, SS (180)

Falcon- HF, EML, SS (180)

Comes out 3 points under 1250. The 2 Falcons were the MVPs grabbing those back field objectives and the full DA squad was able to sweep enemy units that had limped onto objectives late game.

Troop heavy for eldar yes, but that was the design letting the BAs do the heavy lifting

Those are your best two choices, and it depends on your BA player. Is he going to suicide with those troops, or are you going to play conservatively? Your best bet would be to say to your partner "do you want me taking objectives, or taking out his transports before you get there?" and see what he needs help doing. Dragons and nightspinners are a great combo, but they're going to take a huge bulk of your army if you focus on fire support. A balanced list would be something like...

Guideseer, RoWarding, 90

3 jetbikes with cannon, plus embolden/spear lock 129
3 jetbikes with cannon, plus embolden/spear lock 129

5 DAs, EML serpent 180

5 dragons, TL cannon serpent 180
5 dragons, TL cannon serpent 180

Night Spinner, holo fields 150
Night Spinner, holo fields 150

Total 1188

Guideseer sits in the DA's serpent but you don't have anything to guide, which lends itself to getting some warwalkers in this list. You can always get doom instead. You still have 3 lots of tough, mobile troops, while also having 2 fire dragon squads and 2 nightspinners.

alsp's list has more shooty with the walkers, but a lot less mobility and staying power in the troops. Which direction you take depends entirely on what your partner needs from you.
