So I got a bunch of Russian stuff in a trade, its mostly Mid to Late war and the only thing I need now is a army book
so my question is what book would be best?

Without any more detail from you on exact types of models, fortress europe is probably the most suitable book.

Eastern Front is generic Mid War, Fortress Europe is generic Late War.

Stalin's Onslaught, Hammer and Sickle, Stalin's Europe and River of Heros are all specific to Russian/German late war operations but becuase the lists are more specific, without knowing what you have, you may not be able to field a list from one of them or another.

You can't fix stupid.

I believe so. As I understand, in general even the web briefings are tournament legal unless noted as a test list or similar. They just may be 'fringe' formations and may never get updated, even if the points are badly overcosted.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.
