Hey Widowsbane,
Nice list and cool that you're taking Daemons to a serious tournament.
Some comments in response to your post:
- I don't understand the split between your prefered and secondary waves. Both have to be more or less equal by the rules. If you have 8 units, you have to put 4 in each wave. If you have 9 for instance, you could choose, but only in that one of both waves could have 5 and the other 4.
- Keeping with the Crushers is fine, but you do lack some speed because of that choice. Normaly I'd want at least one full squad of Fiends somewhere in there, but you'll have to compensate...
- Ditching the Nurglings is a good idea. Taking Screamers in stead would be an improvement.
- You have way too many Plaguebearers if you ask me. They are great when you only want the absolute minimum in troops since then their toughness is needed. If you aim to take 5-6 troopschoices, by all means take something more killy than Plaguebearers who have a deplorable damageoutput.
Since you mention having acces to more DP's and a Bloodthirster, I'd take something a bit different:
255 Bloodthirster, Blessing ot Bloodgod
333 Fateweaver
200 4 crushers w/ icon, fury, instrument
200 4 crushers w/ icon, fury, instrument
165 4 crushers w/ instrument
100 5 Horrors, Bolt, Changeling
105 7 Plaguebearers
105 7 Plaguebearers
215 Nurgle DP w/ wings, Iron Hide, Flies, Noxious touch
160 Tzeentch DP, Bolt, Gaze
160 Tzeentch DP, Bolt, Gaze
1998
This list has three winged monsters to make up for the lack of Fiends. The Tzeentch Princes aid Fateweaver in trying to open up some transports at range and allow for the Crushers to assault the crispy content.
Waves could be split like this:
Prefered:
Fateweaver
Crushers w. Icon
Crushers
Horrors
Nurgle Prince
Tzeentch Prince
Secondary:
Bloodthirster
Crushers w. Icon
Plaguebearers
Plaguebearers
Tzeentch Prince
Good luck at NOVA. Write us a BatRep if you decide to go with Daemons!
