A few weeks ago I visited my FLGS and saw that all but 4 people (out of ~20) had Imperial Guard armies with them so I have decided to give up on my Beastmen IG Blog due to them being overplayed. I decided to go with CSM as I will be the only person who plays them at my FLGS who uses their own codex. My army will be one of the mixed-God variety. I am planning on going to about 2000pts and seeing whether or not I like them enough to take them any further.

My army will be roughly based around 2 Daemon Princes (Wings, Mark of Slaanesh) and Khorne Berzerkers in Rhinos .

The berzerkers will have a dark purple colour scheme (almost black) with a bone trim similar to that in this scheme-

Well, here's a long overdue update

Had manflu all week so I haven't got an awful lot done, however I have built and started painting my Daemon Prince

Basecoated the skin and done my first ever attempt at NMM

I see this is a WIP. my suggestions are to create some value contrast by highlighting the edges of the metal (perhaps yellow with some snakebite mixed in to darken a bit?) as well as high points on the muscles with UM blue or SW grey.

That skin looks really nice, even though it is still wip, I love the axe blade, the molten lines chasing down the head look great.

Just a quick (but poor excuse for one) update, I've decided to ditch the purple scheme and I'm going for black instead. I tried the purple on a test mini and it ended up not looking very good and didn't feel too Khornate.

I will add shading to the skin so it is a pale blue-grey, it's currently just basecoated with GW Fenris Grey.

The blade will have some colour to the metal either through a glaze or with OSL from the orange lines. Think I might do the whole army in NMM since it will have a fairly low model count (I currently play Imperial Guard and Empire ) and shouldn't take too long as I am minimising the metallic areas on my models.

Hello, I'm still alive .

Sorry for not updating, it's exam season and I've been busy with other personal issues so I've not really had any time to work on my army.

Done some painting on my Daemon Prince, should have some more done tomorrow as well (provided I don't disappear again )
