It seems that whenever a new Marine Codex comes out, everyone has to use those rules for their chapter, which is okay, but the new Gk have me wondering if people will do the same. The issue is that they are different in terms of fluff, so it isn't as easy as saying "My Grey Hunters are assault marines". Personally, I have no intentions of doing this, unless someone has a really good idea. Are you going to do this. Do you think it will happen much?

I wouldn't expect to see too much of it. For counts as to work, you need to properly represent wargear, and the GK wargear is different enough to make this tough to do with normal Blue->Grey->Red Marines.

I was considering painting my old GK up as Exorcists, as the fluff for that chapter is rather interesting. While they are not Grey Knights, they are a 2nd string version of them.

I wasn't aware that those existed, but that sounds fine to me.

The history of the chapter if you didn't already read it is rather painful in the creation of the marines. It involves intentionally getting the aspirant possessed by a daemon, and then forcibly removing it from the aspirant so that they can never be possessed again. (ouch)
