I've been skimming through the LM book lately. Why do I not see Tehenhauin in many lists, especially in lower point games? At 250pts and Lore of Beasts it appears as he has his place, and at 1k games he can be fit in at a lord slot without taking up the 25% for heroes allowing for skink priests and BSBs.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

mmm, I don't know why he isn't used (especially because it is a nice model) but I think it is because 250 points for a lvl 2 wizard just isn't worth it.

Yup LM special chars are horrendiously overcosted, every last one of them.

Croak: 600pts for a model that can't cast with IF.

Mazdamundi: 200pts for Stubborn, an extra spell, permission to chuck all your dice at a spell, and the Cobra Mace, compared to a Slann and a Stegadon. Cannons, though...

Kroq-Gar: he costs twice as much as a regular Oldblood on a Carnosaur, for the Hand of the Gods, an awesome spear, and permission to take more Cold Ones. The 5+ Ward is nice, but a 4+ would be better.

Tehenhauin: Unbreakable's cool. I'd pay 50pts less for him. Maybe even 25.

Chakax: this guy's amazing. Maybe he's worth his points. But I don't think you'll ever need to spend 315pts to make your Slann invincible.

Gor-Rok: also very, very good. But you could almost get three Scar-Veterans for his price...

Tetto'Eko: really good, but a bit too costly.

Tiktaq'to and Oxyotl: comically overpriced. It's absurd. ABSURD.

Well I think that Tetto'eko is worth trying once or twice, he can be pretty nasty with his Teclis-like IF and his loremaster. Pretty bad that he only has heavens though.

And Oxyotl is off course a must have in every army xD I like the model a lot, such a shame.

South of Heaven

Warpsolution pegged it right on.

We have a advantage in the infantry department, as Saurus match up well against any other Core choice in the game, and the Hypnotoad can be kitted out obscenely well.

We just suck with named characters. Its a trade off I'll take anyday.
