Wasn't quite sure of where to put this, but I figured here'll do. so, I'm planning a chaos demons army, and was writing some plaguebearers in because I love their rules, but I thought 'hang on a minute, I don't like the models!' so has anyone got any ideas as to what I could use as counts-as plaguebearers. I think a little conversion would be nice; pustules, intestines, the nurgle works! any models I could base these converted versions on (not current plaguebearers, metal and expensive :( ) that are generally cheap and plastic, with only minor conversion required (I'm bot a green stuff master) thanks in advance.

I've seen some really cool conversions of the Warhammer Fantasy Vampire Counts ghouls.

A link to a conversion: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/11579-Ghoul%20Plague%20Bearers.html
And a link to the GW page for them: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440103a&prodId=prod1050048

There is also an awesome conversion involving switching bloodletters into plaguebearers: works very well, I found the process on here and the models look great. It involves cutting off the back end of the head, cutting off the horns, building a bulging stomach and converting from two eyes into one. Looks great and is easy conversion work. Look around for tutorials.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I went the Ghoul route myself as well. Here's a shot of mine, unpainted so you can see what was done to them better.

I was thinking of using WHFB Zombies as a starting point for khornite PBs. They'd be shot up, refusing to die, just staggering around hungry for the kills.

I took Kroot Mercenaries and gave them Ghoul heads, then chopped down the rifles into single handed blades, green stuff, blah blah blah. It actually looks pretty nice.

Kabal of the Void Dominator - now with more purple!
