so I am making a pack of wolves for my space wolves army and I ran into a predicament, GW has no wolf models available. So I bought a pack of chaos warhounds and was thinking I could convert them using greenstuff and what not. But then I got thinking isn't it true that "there are no wolves on Fenris" which means that the wolves are initiates that couldn't control their bestial side and transformed. So the short and small of it, do you guys think I should keep the warhounds and all their chaos glory, horns and creepy tails, not to mention the boils, Or greenstuff over them and make them more wolf like?

So i decided to go the greenstuff route.

I was surprised that it actually came out not to shabby.

Gonna get their tails all greenstuffed then get some pictures up.

I greenstuffed the holes for the horns and sanded off the chaos bitz. I also used the normal goblin wolf tails and just glued them on. Worked out pretty well.

I'll have to take a pic of them painted, I thought I had one.

I have some WIP shots that aren't great in my SW gallery:

I really need to sit down and take serious pictures of my armies. The half-arsed ones suck.

Finished with the Greenstuff.
I couldn't get a good picture of the detail on my wolves though. So no pictures as of yet. I'm looking at borrowing a friends camera since mine is useless.
At Pretre: I like the big base with your wolves on the chains, excellent idea. I may have to copy your idea for some of my future wolves.

He probably does it so he can bump his topics if I had to guess. *EDIT* Oh wait, it appears they're different people. I'm confused.

As for wolves, I have a pack of Fenrisian Wolves made using WHFB Goblin Rider wolves (like these) and an old Dire Wolf from a metal blister.

Post pictures!! You can always delete the bad quality ones later and replace them with better ones. It's good to get your stuff out there and visible so that people can leave you actual feedback.

(though I suppose I'll see them in person in a few days)

Check out my Project (B)log! I would love any suggestion or comments you may have.

Just as my own update: The GS covered up the chaotic elements as if they were never there and ended up looking like some well done fur.
