I just added another to my list so was curious how often or how many people others have ignored?

I have 18 people

.....actually I think it's going to be fun to see if anyone I ignore will post in this thread

I havent Ignored anyone since I joined Dakka actually (or rather, ever use the Ignore function in my life). I've been tempted to ignore Kan a few times, but sometimes it's just amusing to watch him rant.

Also, this might be good in the Dakka Discussion thread since it's not really 40k related. Just an fyi.

tbh I have managed to hit the ignore button twice by accident

So, this really strikes me as the OP just trying to get attention from the people he is ignoring. Also, if someone is having that kind of drama with 18 other people perhaps they should consider what the real source of the tension is.

I ignore people for a while when they annoy me too much, and then I take them off again. I don't have anyone on my list currently.

How does the ignore thing work anyways? Does it just blot out the ignored? or should that be ignoree?

In which case the ignorees could say what they want and Warboss would never know.

Just one accidentally, quickly fixed it. I don't plan to ignore people though, I like reading comments whether they be good, bad, helpful, obnoxious, or whatever.

Has the ignore button been moved by the mighty Legoburner?
Seem to recall a thread last year discussing this topic.
iirc the button was periously close to something that would be clicked fairly frequently hence it was an easy mistake to make.

Its down in the bottom right corner of their post.

I know, but it used to be next to the edit button or something similar iirc.
I tend not to click the friend button in posts so there is no longer any chance of making the mistake.

Maybe the ignore button should be changed to "Fiend"

I've never ignored anyone. If someone gets dull, then I'll skim their post and probably not bother to comment on what they've said, even if I might respond to someone else if they'd said something similar.

Actually finding someone so hard to deal with that you need to click on a special button to make them disappear from the forum just seems lame.

No one, although if someone were to ignore me I would rather have him/her explain why...
