I have never come across information regarding Terran IG regiments. Does it have any or is it just protected by space marines?

I don't believe any Terran regiments appear in fluff, though it seems likely they'd have defensive regiments.
It seems unlikely that all defensive duties would fall to the Custodes, as they're too small in number to defend an entire planet, though given the proximity of Mars, tech-guard units may also be detailed to guard Terra.

Think about every single kind of military machine, weapon, or force in the game. There are probably some on Terra.

Terran prefects appaeared in the battle for Armageddon.
They have a lot of PDf forces on Terra most likely as well if not better equipped and trained than most IG regiments.

In any regard Terra's PDF is probably more well drilled and equipped then most IG Regiments. Certainly far larger.

There were references to 'Terran Prefect' regiments serving on Armageddon, and that's the only information about Terran regiments we've seen. But yes, most Terran troops are probably part of the PDF forces guarding Terra.

I thougth the guy who saved the emperor from horus got his own regiment?

Olanius Pius got fried by Horus and is kinda the saint of the Imperial Guard but he kinda got his ass retconned.

Just like any planet in the IoM, Terra would have raise troops for the IG. So I don't see any issues with having a Terran Regiment. Or Even a Venusian, Jovien (Callistonian, Ganymedien, Europan, Ioan [had some fun with those]). I can't remember which Jovien moon gets blown up in the HH series. Theory goes you could pick a populace place in the Sol system and raise a regiment from there.
I like the idea of a Kuiperen Regiment: micro grav specialists using ground effect vehicles.

They replaced him with a Custodes then he got retconned and replaced with a random terminator.

This isn't true at all.

Not all worlds in the IoM are tithed to raise IG, there are even relatively well populated worlds that do not give soldiers to the IG (it all depends on what they are used for and who controls the planet)

Most of the Sol system is made up of very specialist groups, Mars controls alot of it due the number of factory worlds and ship production docks, the Inquisition also has a number of planets/moons under its command and the Imperial Navy will also have a stake as well. All three do not have to give any soldiers to the IG, but they will all maintain defencive forces.

Im pretty sure Terra would have IG regiments along with the PDF being that its the capital of the Imperium and the homeworld of humanity. What would you all say about making a Terran IG regiment?

I doubt IG regiments on Terra would be actually be from Terra, they could be offworld soldiers stationed on Terra honouring their valor

I dont no it is the capital thus I would assume they would have everythng the Imperium has imaginable in there arsenal.

I didn't say they hadn't, i was just saying that IG soldiers (not PDF) would mostly come from other worlds. As well alot of the most powerful things the IoM can use in war are not controlled by the IG but by Mars or the Imperial Navy

Ok, i think im going to do a Terran regiment then it would be cool. Ithink theres too much cadian regiments i want to do somthing different.
