Popped into the BL website and it for eBooks it is now in US dollars at the more reasonable price of $7.99 instead of the $10+ dollars based on converting it from the GBP pricing. I wondering if they managed to fix the bit where US banks charge you as a foreign transaction from buying from an overseas website even if purchasing in US dollars - yes BofA I am talking about you.

Anyhoo - was there an annoucement? I didn't see one.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Still about $5 too much, IMO; but that's my stance on all e-books. No, I hadn't yet seen this elsewhere.

I don't think there was an announcement, but we all know GWs marketing system involves vague emails.
I bought the sigmar trilogy.
Yes they could be cheaper but it is still cheaper then buying a hardcopy and if you buy lots of books like I do, then the dollar saved per book adds up.

Are you trying to say that the amount they save by not having to physically produce, ship, stock and pay employees to sell a book should be passed onto the CUSTOMER? Surely you jest.. The executives would be living in the STREETS!

I swaer to god that they just don't want my money. I have been chasing BL for US pricing for months. Here we have a major shift in pricing strategy in potential the largest market and no-one says anything or releases anything. BL books in the US have just dropped by 25-30% and are now in line with the rest of the US book market.

I just cannot believe the sheer stupidity and general lack of basic business skills GW/ BL continue to display.

Or .... maybe there is no release of this because then it would demonstrate that someone totally hashed up the release of eBooks to begin with.

The prices via Apple's eBook service have been at 7.99 US for a month or two, I think. Finding BL books on that service was a surprise as I thought BL had made a big deal about doing it themselves.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Important point: If you buy via the Apple iBook store you only get that version. If you buy from BL direct you get both eBook formats. It was cool to see them in that store but I won't be buying them there.

I think it's more that they were not sure how things would go and that it's all still very experimental. I think this latest move involves comparisons with iBooks and Kindle versions and pressure from those stores. I'm still going to buy direct from BL as I'd rather my money went directly to them rather than a cut to Apple for example.
