Finland... the country next to Sweden? No! That's Norway! Finland is to the east! No! That's Russia!

I was thinking about starting a Nurgle themed Chaos army, I'm going to make the army on the showcase side (maybe a couple of games will be played).
Here's the link for some background stuff about the army if anyone is interested

Anyways... here is the colour scheme:

note that the base colour will be brown, with a Catachan green drybrush and 2:1 Camo and Catachan highlights.

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.

Paint scheme looks good, but sadly i cant read your fluff. its in a format i cant open, and i cant find what opens it.

Edit: may i suggest, instead of the armour trim you have, a rusted metal one? It may break up the paint scheme alittle, and it suits nurgle.

Well... I couldn't add rust on BolterandChainsword, and it would have looked weird with paint.
I was planning to make them very rusty (since I'm ordering 2 of the Deathguard upgrade packs from ForgeWorld.)

EDIT: fixed grammar... atleast most of it

Well, i think the sickly brown look will look good for nurgle, you can go for more "decrepit" and damaged look than the stereotypical Nurgle boils nad pustules and such.

Basically, do things like bullet holes, scratched paint, crustyness/dirtyness in the armour, etc. IMHO, it would look good, and wouldnt be too hard to convert.

There's an idea for you, think marines who really dont care about their equipment, and see what you get from that.

Yup, that would work.

you could also do blood seeping out the joints (Ala The cleaved)

Take a look at this for inspiration :

IT certainly gave me alot of ideas for my slaaneshi CSM (i should really get around to doing a Non-cult troop squad for my army...)

Edit : you can also mix stuff between the gods alittle. like my CSMs have combat blades on thier guns - the article says its khornate, but i think it could fit slaanesh, albiet to a lesser extent

I think I prefer the first (darker) shade of green to the second.

As for rust / corrosion, a simple water-down glaze of Scorched Brown or Dark Flesh would be appropriate. I would only apply it to joints and edges in the armour leaving the larger flat panels "clean" as it were otherwise it is likely it would make the entire model look messy.

Any ideas on iconography / background yet?

There is the PowerPoint presentation so far... But I'm working on the background story now.

I'm going to assemble and paint my test miniature today, I'll try to upload some pictures of the model, but I'll have to do it on my cellphone, since my camera is shi... broken

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Just ordered 2 sets of Deathguard upgrade kits, and Deathguard rhino doors (will be used on a Predator, and side doors on 2 rhinos (1 on each)).

I did a ton of nurgle troops up and went through buckets of wash and they looked great. Thrakka green, devlin mud and some badab.

it seems like good nurgle models have lots of greenstuff errors, as in a good thing. my nurgle dread was a normal dread til i royally screwed up the gs lol

Green stuff? Who said I use GS?

On my test figures I don't waste green stuff, but use this yellow stuff used to make balloons...
